Vehicle Detail

Thanks but NO trades. For sale is my 1957 Chevy Bel Air. This car runs like new and can and should be driven home at ANY distance. PLEASE check out my feedback. This is a true Bel Air and came from the factory with a V8 and 3 speed auto. The original engine is gone and a 1974 350 V8 is in its place. The trans is a turbo 350. The carb is a 6 month old Edelbrock 600 and the intake is an old style aluminum. I purchased this car as a driver but it needed some t.l.c when I drove it home...I replaced the radiator with a new brass radiator from Speedway Motors. The gas tank leaked so I replaced it with a new tank and 3/8 sending unit. The car was then put on the rack at Liberty Firestone in West Liberty OH where the wheel bearings, races and seals were all replaced with new. Also, the outer tie rod ends and an allignment. I then purchased the new B.F.G tires from Liberty Firestone and had them mounted and balanced. A few lengths of brake line were replaced and the system bled. It is important to know that the chassis of this car is not original 57, and thats a good thing. The suspension is now coil spring front and rear and the front brakes are disc. the rear end, suspension, brakes, engine, etc. are from a 1974 Caprice Police car. This car rides like most new car today. It turnes at speed and brakes excellent. The steering and brakes are now power and wonderful to have. As you can see in the pics, this car will need paint. The body is in excellent condition, straight and solid. With a nice paint job, this would be a real sharp ride. Originally this car came Torquise but was re-shot red in the 80's. About 2 years ago, the car was sanded and another restoration was under way. I purchesed the car almost 1 year ago and have put about 6000 miles on it. The wireing harness was replaced with a new unit from Danchuck. All lights, signals, licence plate light, wipers, horn, dash lights, lighter etc. etc. all work. I am missing the drivers side wiper arm but that is easy to replace. The spoodo and gas guage work. The original temp, clock, and radio do not work. I have added after market oil and temp guages and a C.D. player with Sony 4 way speakers. The drivers door glass and pass. quarter glass are both cracked. The windows role up and down fine. If you have any questions, feel free to call or text me at 937-935-6178. Please understand I work second shift so I can't talk much in the evenings. I require a $500. non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. The car must be picked up and paid in full by 2 weeks of auction end. You can bring cash, or send a bank draft however, a transfer from your bank to mine works best for me. My bank holds ALL checks so if you come in person, please bring cash or the send the check ahead of time. Thank you all for looking, ShaneOn Jul-03-11 at 20:50:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several questions about my car so I wanted to answer them here for all to see. Yes I do have the original bullets for the hood, I have just never put them on. All the stainless is on the car, nothing missing. The carpet is new and the drivers front floor was replaced probably 6 months ago with a correct G.M. pan from Restoration World in Huber Heights OH. The side pipes are vintage Hooker and do have baffles inside them so they sound great and don't blow your ear drums out. I have a Jegs electric emergency brake in line going to the front brakes, commonly refered to as Line Lock. And also, there is a new Flex-A-Lite electric fan behind the new radiator. It is the higher priced unit with thermostat so it automatically turnes off and on as needed.
