1982 Honda XL500R

This is a 1982 Honda XL500R motorcycle. I bought it to learn to ride dirt roads before buying a BMW GS. However after thoroughly servicing the bike and replacing all the missing parts I find I am not using it and now need to sell it to get the BMW that I want. The first thing I did not like was the front drum brake. So I replaced the front end with items from a XL600R which included shocks, wheel with disk brake, master cylinder and brake caliper. I replaced the disk pads with new ones. Other items I replaced, Acerbis rear fender. Honda scrambler tail light. Rear indicators. I replaced the standard narrow footpegs with wider ones. Both mirrors are new. I fixed all top end oil leaks and rebuilt the carb. The bike runs great. When I got it, the speedometer was broken and was stuck at 6500 miles. The previous owner assured me that it had just recently broken. I replaced the speedo with the current one that shows just over 4500. Bike is ready to go anywhere.
