NO RESERVE! Year: 1976Model: 911 S or 911S Body Style: Sunroof CoupeExterior Color: 944 Platinum metallic Interior Color: Tan with cloth weave Interior Material: Cloth and vinyl Mileage: 84671Engine: 2.7L flat six Transmission: 5-speed manualWheels: Cookie cutters. Description: 1976 Ferry Porsche Signature Edition 911 S coupe. Some reports are that only about 500 of these cars were made with a special exterior and interior and color matched cookie cutters. The car runs and drives but has been off the road since 2006. This is a project car and not one that you can drive home reliably. The car has been repainted at least once in the original color and it looks like the headlight buckets had been replaced with new metal. The seams are slightly visible on the outside of the fender. There is some rust as shown in the pictures. The wheels are painted black (crudely) and the car has 225R15 tires instead of the 185R15 stock size. The car appears to have been bumped on the driver side rear but was repaired by the previous owner and left in primer. A new rear Porsche reflector comes with the car. The sunroof opens and closes under power but a little slowly. The previous owner had installed a Turbo style whale tail which has now been removed. There are marks on the engine lid where the spoiler sat but no extra holes were drilled. There are some dents and dings around the car as well but nothing very serious. The seats have some crack and split seams on the front but the rears appear to be dirty. The dash is un-cracked and the door trim is in good condition. The headliner is stained and likely will need replacement to look good...I am not an interior expert so it is possible that it could be cleaned. The windows have been tinted at some point. All the windows work including the rear quarter units. There is no radio. The lights and signals all seem to work fine.A few upgrades have been made including Carrera tensioners, 11-blade cooling fan, Euro style pre-muffler, turbo valve covers, Weltmeister front cross brace, and a K&N air filter. The car was registered previously in New Hampshire and is pre-title for that state. The sale will include a Mass dealer assignment form (replaces the title on pre-title vehicles), the previous registration, and a bill of sale which will allow the vehicle to be titled. Please check your local laws before bidding and let me know if there is any other documentation that you will require. I will do whatever you need within reason. Please contact me with any questions before bidding or Buy it Now. I encourage potential buyers to have the car inspected or come and see/drive it in person. It looks like the two spot welds just popped off. I have the tab and the door itself is fine so it could easily be welded back on. If you would like a picture, I can email one. On Jul-02-11 at 05:45:51 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to clarify the earlier update on the tab that broke off. This is the latch tab on the underside of the fuel filler/wiper fluid access door of the body. It holds the door shut and is released by the lever on the left side of the dash. This is an easy fix and has no danger related to the fuel filler tube. I can email a picture to any interested bidders. On Jul-02-11 at 05:47:35 PDT, seller added the following information: On Jul-06-11 at 05:50:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Update on 7-6-11: I wanted to clarify that the exhaust looks to be updated with a later style (without thermal reactor system) as shown in the picture.
