Vehicle Detail

A true "barn find" Model A roadster. Stored for many years, this classic and iconic Ford is needing a new lease on life. The car is complete. The motor turns over and has great compression, and has been started a year ago. Some of the parts were taken off some 25 years ago, when a hot rod project never got off the ground. The body is very solid, no rust in the quarter panels, rumble lid or floors. The hood is a cherry. The wannabe hot rodder cut some of the rear floor pan, and it will need to be patched or replaced.(the pans are cheap for these cars, most other parts too) The rear fenders are new steel reproductions from Brookville Roadster( I have the originals if you would rather have them, need TLC) It is a rear mounted spare model, which is clean looking instead of the side mount. Front fenders are original and have been worked on thru the years. Gas tank has been cleaned. Radiator has been reconditioned. Windshield frame and glass are new. The splash aprons and rear bumper parts are in a separate picture. There are no frame repairs made, and the car sits straight, and rolls freely. I have all the brake rods, the rear window frame for the roadster top and many small items in boxes. I also have the cowl lights and the generator. Oh, the doors need a little work, you can see from the pictures, and a mouse nest made a patch necessary on the drivers lower cowl, I have the panel. Original color was a light green, repainted circa 1950 to maroon. Frame was painted silver and the motor red. Must have been the bomb back in the day! I forgot to mention that this is a "late" 1931 and has the heart shape indented firewall around the gas shut off. There is light surface rust on most of the exposed surfaces, but there is no pitting. It has always been garaged, and the paint has only been off a few years. I could have painted it all in primer to look better, but you should see the real item. A very good car to restore, hot rod, AV8 car or whatever you desire. I have a buy it now to end the drama of the auction thing. Hey, you either want it or not, right? You're not going to get a solid, complete roadster any cheaper than this. If serious just push the easy button. Please call me for any questions. My cell# is (860) 913-4680
