This clean little scout is a really clean survivor with a very solid body with all original paint that still shines out great! Very unmolested condition with all original books + brochure and even the top has never been off! From the factory it has the XLC option that was only offered for a couple years which gave it heavy duty springs front and rear, larger radiator, tow pkg, dual exhaust and the rare 33 gallon large fuel tank. this scout also came with the larger 345 V8, very hard to find t-19 4speed manual trans and air conditioning. This little binder runs and drives incredible with no squeeks and rattles over bumps!! This one is ready to be driver quality!! BODY/EXTERIOR- The body is 100% original in its factory colors buckskin and winter white. Paint is still all there and even though its hard to tell in pics it still shines up nicely and looks amazing for its age. Zero accidents and has never had a bolt cracked on any body panels. Even the top has never been off due to all the weather stripping has not been cut at the body and top line which is needed to remove the top and all original markings and decals under hood are very readable and all intact The door window sweeps and exterior weatherstripping is still intact and in great condition which is very hard to find. All glass is original w/ only 1 minor chip in front windshield, rear hatch still latches and locks with no rattles along with doors and hood. All lights work properly as you can see in pics in link! Floors , body mounts and rockers are in incredible solid shape. The paint is original and presents very well especially for 36 years old, but has some surface scratches faintly along passenger side, small chips here and there and some thinning in paint from 36 years of waxing in middle top of hood and on driver quarter under gas filler area. Also in link you will see a very soft ding with no paint damage on driver front fender and side of passenger end cap( both about size of quarter. You can also see a crease on driver end cap by bumper, driver fender bottom under trim and a soft dent on driver bottom right corner but these flaws are minor and really dont take away from the truck considering the year and condition of most other vehicles this old. DRIVE-TRAIN- All original drivetrain from top to bottom! Brand new rebuilt 345 V8 with papers. When motor was out frame rails were cleaned up and painted in rust preventer type paint. Once motor went back in it got a new clutch, rebuilt radiator, all new belts and hoses, starter, alternator, rebuilt carb and the rear end was also rebuilt shortly after. Came from factory with power steering and brakes, 4-speed transmission with dana 44's front with disc brakes and factory limited slip posi 44 rear. Fresh set of dunlop tires have been put on factory wheels with caps and a nice dual exhaust. A/C blows cold but if your in texas or florida temps you may want to give her a boost of new freon. INTERIOR- The interior is very clean and mostly original in its factory ordered parchment color . All gauges, lighter and accessories work properly. Dash and door panels are in nice shape. front split bench seat has been recovered at some point and rear is starting to show its age due to the poor material they used. Factory radio has been replaced with a nice detachable face cd with remote and custom speakers! . Side panels and headliner are still intact. Windows roll up without catching or any issues, fly windows and doors lock as they should! The floors obviously had factory carpet removed due the factory mat being a huge water holder and rust starter and a bedliner has been layed down in black to protect the floors. Floor pans are in incredible rust free and clean shape. This scout is a rare find in this condition and is turn key driver ready and remember NO RESERVE!!
