No Reserve AuctionOn the block is a 1974 MGB GT..........1800cc 4cyl. w/original twin carbs,4 speed trans,factory wire wheels,factory jack/spare,etc......Odometer shows 76,000 miles.1974 only 9,600 GT`s were made for worldwide distribution,and was the last year for the GT in America....August/1974 was last month they made the chrome bumper GT...This car was made August/1974Same owner since 1990.Stored inside since 2000,and rarely driven before that.......Added a newer battery,and fresh gas,and it starts right up.NO smoke or knocking.Clutch is perfect.Trans shifts good.It will need to be serviced,and do a safety inspection,before driving it.The front brakes seem to be binding/tires are dry,so I only drove it around the block to make sure it shifts.I let it run in the Fla sun(95 degree`s) for about 20 minutes.Ran cool,and maintained excellent oil pressure.RUST:Body is solid.I dont have a lift,but did look underneath:quarter size hole in 1 floor support/floor support behind the jack point(not the jack point-its solid)/both floor support rails where they turn up behind the front wheel well liner.I pulled the factory rubber mats up,and the floor pans appear solid and original with all the sound deadning material in place.....Paint bubbling a little on bottom of front fenders,but hey it was painted 20+ years ago.All the wheel lips are solid.All the hinge areas(doors-hood-trunk)are very solid.NO rust around the glass.Rockers are solid to.NO rust under the hood,or in the spare tire area.All the body seams(rockers-tailight panel-etc)are still there.Not rust free,but this is not a "Bondo Buggy",and will be very easy to fix.Ask questions.My cell number is posted below.Paint is at least 20 yrs old.Useable 20 footer,but certainly showing it`s age.Interior is cloth and appears to be original with no holes-tears-rips-burns.NO holes in dash either.Nice headliner.All the glass is good,and windows go up/down easy,and vent wings latch tight.NOTE:Sold as-is.No warranty.I have done the best I can to deliver an accurate description,but I am sure I have missed something.This is a solid unrestored 37yr old car so please ask questions before bidding.I`ll answer all quickly,and to the best of my ability...If you are a nit picker please don`t bid.....TITLE:Has a clean clear Florida title.Sold "Mileage Exempt" since it is over 10 yrs old.I have not driven it far enough to tell if the odometer works(speedo/trip do work).Title shows mileage to be actual.QUESTIONS:Call 407-791-1609 9am-9pm eastern time,or e-mail me thru e-bay.EXPORT:I can assist...Cheap delivery to terminal of your choice.Can recommend reliable reasonably priced shippers.Delivery:Click the link above the description(SHIPPING)....If you are logged in it will give you several automatic quotes.If you feel they are excessive contact me.This will make someone a very nice car.Easy restoration to show car,or cheap n easy service,and drive it like it is.Only original once!So here we go.No reserve.Clean clear title...and a rare MGB GT!Check out my other items! keywords:MG,MGB,MGBGT,MG B,MG B GT,Morris-Garage,Morris Garage,MGC,MGC GT,MG C GT,Triumph,Lotus,MGB GTV8,MGB GT V8,MGBV8,Riley,classic,british,english,british classic,english,roadster,sports car,sportscar,collector car,On Jun-26-11 at 07:07:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I`ve tried to give an accurate description but it appears some people may not be reading the whole description.Reason I say that is I`ve gotten e-mails,and phone calls asking if any rust,and where.So let me add this to the auction:Yes it has rust.No I don`t see where you will have to replace any body panels.Solid car....well worth restoring....not a rust bucket to me,but I`m sure if you have never owned anything except Arizona desert cars,or restored cars,then you might not agree.So it`s subjective...My cell number is listed.Please call first before biding,or ar least send an e-mail!..NOT reading the full description,or not asking questions,is not an excuse.This is not a rust free car,and expect you`ll find something you didn`t expect.Maybe not,but better to assume that..........Thanks for looking,and good luck! Having said this I went outside and started the car after it has been sitting for over a week.Fired right up.NO smoke.No knocking.Clutch is excellent.I let it run for 20 minutes in the 95 degree Fla sun.NEVER ran hot,or even close.Oil pressure maintained an excellent 40+ lbs at iidle!
