Here is a 1931 Ford Coupe Deluxe hot rod / street rod project. It has an original boxed frame, new dropped I-beam front axle with a 4 bar setup, mono leaf and disc brakes. Also a 4 bar set up in the rear on a 10 bolt rear end with coil overs and a pan hard bar. It has a built up small block chevy 350 in it that came out of a corvette and a 350 tranny that was used just for measurments (oil pan loose and missing other pieces, so will need to be replaced). Driveshaft cut and installed. Dropped chrome headlight bar with original model A headlights and deluxe cowl lights. The body is exceptional, one of the cleanest rumble seat coupes I have seen, the doors shut perfect. The body was in bare metal, so I put primer on it. I took a photo before of the door so you can see the metal at the bottom where it usually has rust. There is one small dent in the rear near the back fender pictured. The decklid has a little bit of rust along the bottom edge and there has been two small patches installed in the rear fender wells that are about 3 inches high. The steering box is mounted. The rear fenders and hood are the original paint and havent had any work done to them, and are still very nice. The windows roll up and down good. The brake pedal assembly and mastercylinder is mounted and ready to be plumbed. It has all the guarnish mouldings, the roof has been filled and has new wood in roof area the rest of wood is original. The subframe on this car is perfect, body and floor pans have never been taken apart! The frame has nuts pre-welded on the inside of the frame for the body to mount to. This car originally came from Bass Lake CA, where they dont use salt on the roads in the winter. Also included (not pictured) is a new '31 4 row radiator set up for the SBC, a clean original firewall and a box of random pieces like rumble seat hardware and other body pieces. The frame and running gear are very dusty, I've had some questions about this. I did not clean for photos, but it is all painted with a very nice gloss black and will clean up very nice. With a few weeks of work this car will be driving. This car was built by an older fellow who does very nice work and has been building hot rods for a long time. Again this car has a very nice body to start with, not a pieced together coupe. Needs front windshield, steering column, seats and bumpers. No title.
