Vehicle Detail
I had wanted a 7 series IL Bmw for a long time and finally had the opportunity and means to get one. I bought this 740IL from a dealer in Houston Texas, flew in, picked it up and drove it more than 1800 miles back home. I am now clear what is meant when these are advertised as The Ultimate Driving Machine. I am very impressed. Everything just seems to work together perfectly. It is truly an experience. Between when I bought it and picked it up my job went away so all non essentials have to go. Unfortunately this is a nonessential. It is the dark bluish gray metallic. Beautiful color. That coupled with the gray leather interior it is a real nice car. The interior is in what I consider excellent shape. No tears, rips or stains. These come loaded from the factory I found out. The steering wheel tilt is power. It even goes in and out, also power. It has way more things that I can note and I could not begin to explain how it all works. It has memory settings for 3 drivers. Both front seats are power and the backs even separate midway up for a different power setting. It has two power lumbar points also. The headrests are also powered. The cruise control works perfectly and the AC blows ice cold. Each side has its own climate control settings and controls. The dash has an information center that tells you about the car when it is started. It has the rear window shades with the one on the rear window being power. I could go on and on and on but if you are looking at this car then you have a good idea as to the little goodies it has. The items I planned on doing something with are as follows, LF fog lamp lens is broken. I have one ordered and will be included with the sale. The hood emblem is gone, The same goes. It is ordered and will be included. The wheel center emblems on the left side are also gone. They are ordered and will be included. The information center says to check the rear brake linings. Brakes feel fine but I have not pulled the tires. It also says to check the rear lights. The RR turn signal does not work. The bulb is there and looks to be fine. I am not a mechanic so I did not look further. The LR window doesn't go down. The paint is good and shines nice. There are a couple of small dings. Like a baseball bumped the car. The paint is not broken so these would be repaired by one of those paintless repair people, or just leave them alone like I planned. It could use tires. The tread on 3 is fine but they are mismatched. The sizes are all the same as is the tread. It drives great and does not pull or wander. The LR has the least amount of tread. I would just change that one and drive it through the summer and then replace all four. I have described it as best as I know how. I have probably missed something if for no other reason because I just don't know the car that well because I also just bought it. If you are concerned about me having low transactions numbers with eBay, don't be. I am currently moving to a new account and I have well over 1000 transactions with 100% feedback. kbrown4308. This is a relist now. Some clown opened up an eBay account, tagged the buy it now and then closed their account. Hmmmmmmmm I wonder if it was someone who has a 7 series up for sale right now and needed this one kicked out for a little while. Nonetheless, to maintain the integrity of the auction I will now add buyer requirements. I have never had to do this before but I understand from others that this is becoming a more common place thing, opening an account, getting rid of the competition and then closing the account. If you have less than 10 feedbacks, all positive, I will cancel your bid instantly unless you have called me, 907-351-0408. It's ok for you to bid regardless of your history, I just want to have some dialog with you first. I don't run scams, all of my sales are real and done honestly. It's things like this that make an auction look like a scam. So, unfortunately we all have to pay. Bid with confidence, if you aren't sure or if your history doesn't meet the requirements I have been forced to put into place, please call or email me. Thanks. Ken
