1994 DODGE RAM 1500 PICK-UP TRUCK You are bidding on: ITEM: 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 Pick-Up Truck *Please read this ad fully, as there is alot of details about the truck, pictures, and video, and it might answer some questions you have and save you time in emailing or calling me if you don't need to. I am here to answer any and all questions though, in a timely and professional manner. **THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION, FINAL PRICE IS THE FINAL PRICE AND THATS WHAT YOU PAY!** Details: I purchased this truck in Sept. 2010, not that long ago, with 125k for mileage, and I paid $2,000 even for it from a mechanic in Georgetown, Ma., private sale. It was in very good condition for its age, and only needed a few minor fixes. Below I will outline the work I did, and the little bit of work I believe it needs. Im a mechanic in training, and I do all my own repairs. This truck is a 1994 Dodge 1500, V6, 3.9L engine, fuel injected, 2-wheel drive, and automatic transmission, 4 speed with overdrive. These trucks, if taken care of and properly maintained, have been known to go into the 300k range. Im in the salvage yards all the time, and almost every single one I see has well over 200k on the mileage. The only reason im selling this truck that I've only had for 10k miles and 9 months is because I just recently lost my license a week ago, and wont be getting it back for about 1 year. This was my daily driver up until last week. So in the meantime i'm going to work on my Civic EX and just make that my primary vehicle as ill be doing alot of commuting when I do get it back. Otherwise I would be keeping the truck for sure. Where else are you going to find a truck like this for under $2,000 that you can just jump in and go? This truck has a current, valid inspection sticker on it right now, that I got put on around November, 2010. Work Performed From Oct 2010 to June 2011: 6 New Autolite Double Platinum Spark Plugs 6 New Autolite Professional Series Spark Plug Wires Installed New Drivers Side Front Ball Joint Replaced 1 ft. section of 3/8th in. rubber fuel line going from sending unit to main line Replaced 1-3/4 in. rubber w/ wire reinforced I did 1 oil change when I first got the truck using Pennzoil Platinum Synthetic Oil + a genuine Mopar filter I just did another oil + filter change just the other day so you wont need another one for about 4k miles I installed two new front Monroe Gas Shocks Replaced plate light bulbs, front headlight bulbs, and some of the rear taillight bulbs Installed New CD Player and 2 Sony Xplode Door speakers Work That It Could Use: *I will do all this work before you take possession of the vehicle, as long as you purchase the parts, I have some parts which I will include for free, and some will have to be bought new, and some can be bought used, and I have priced everything out. Your saving a ton of money because I will do the labor for free. I will replace both rear shocks with Monroe Gas Shocks (I already have two new shocks here in the box) Transmission filter + fluid change (I have both a new filter and transmission fluid) Power Steering pump (You will have to purchase this, I found one available at the local salvage yard for $40 if I remove it from the vehicle) **Update: I should be getting the Power Steering pump myself on Wednesday and putting it in on Friday. Front brake pads (You will have to purchase these, ceramic preferred, they're about $40 for the pair, but there are cheaper sets available) Even though I just did one in Oct, with the summer starting, Ill do another coolant flush and refill, I have the coolant Belt Tensioner Pulley + Housing (This has to be purchased new, and is available at Advance Auto Parts for $65 1 Front wheel cover, which I will pick up for free I have two cans of undercoating that ill be spraying on the frame and metal parts to prevent any potential winter corrosion and salt damage. Its always good to do this to your trucks before the winter. This is 100% optional and not needed, but if you want a roll on Bedliner, which are rugged and very durable, Dupont sells a top quality do-it-yourself kit at Nappa for $125 with everything you need. Ill do the labor for free. So total, your looking at $150, probably less if I get these parts myself before auction ends, including tax, that doesnt include the roll on bedliner as thats just an optional job, and all my labor is free, and it would take about 1 day for me to gather all the parts and prep, and 1 day to do all the work. *Forgot to mention, I have a metal diamond plate looking tool box that goes in the back, its just not pictured because I took it out a few weeks ago and left it at my friends house, but Ill be including it. I can install it permenantly if you would like, or you can do it after you get a bedliner or have me do the roll on liner, up to you, but it is included. CONDITION: This is a good condition truck with only 135k original miles. Ive only driven this around town, and have never taken it on the highway except for when I drove it home the day I bought it, and it runs good. Its been great for me for work, I pull parts at the junkyard, fix cars, and use it to bring stuff to the dump and what not. I have a Honda Civic for my commutes out of town. This isnt a perfect truck, but im not charging much, its a 94, and it has 135k, and its in very good condition for its age, and definitely well worth my asking price. The things I do know are wrong are listed above. It could use some front brake pads, it creaks when you turn right, and I know it could use a power steering pump, although the current one works, it would be smart to replace it before it goes completely, and while you have me to do free labor and get the part for low money. The belt tensioner pully is going, which makes for a loud noise as it spins around. This part is only $65, and will quiet the engine down quite a bit, and will literally only take me 15 minutes to change. The other stuff like the coolant, tranny filter/fluid, and shocks are all parts I have already that I previously purchased. After these jobs are done, you will have yourself a very nice truck, for cheap money, especially considering that used vehicle prices are going through the roof right now because of low inventory nationwide and almost no one buying new vehicles because they dont want to take on the payments. The interior is nice and clean, no rips in the seat or anything. The exterior is in good shape for its age, some scratches here and there, no dents though. As you can see in the pictures, its a good vehicle, and I guarantee it sells fast. *If you have any questions and want to contact me, you can email me and ill answer very quickly, or if you would rather call me, my cell phone number is 978-457-8307 and my name is Dan. Also, I reserve the right to end this auction early if I sell it locally or through craigslist. *This sale is final and As Is, no warranty or guarantee is included, so whenever I sell a vehicle, I always suggest that people come down to inspect it before purchasing so that way you know for yourself what your buying and your not just relying on what I say. All buyers are welcome to come down to view it anytime prior to the end of the auction, just email me to set up a viewing. Ive included all the information I know about the vehicle. **Look at video at the very bottom. click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge click picture to enlarge Normally I accept all forms of payment, however, because of the higher cost of auto auctions, I will only accept payment in the following manner...A $300 deposit is required within 24 hours of the end of the auction, and the balance is due in person at the time of pick up. At pick up I will only accept cash. Please do not show up with checks, money orders, or a credit card, they will not be accepted. Do not pay the entire amount through Paypal, it will not be accepted, only $300 as a deposit. Please do not show up and try to talk me down from the final auction price, as others have attempted in the past. The final auction price, is the price you pay, period. If your not willing to pay that amount, don't bid that amount. If you show up without enough money, or try to talk me down on the final auction price, you will be voiding our agreement, and I will offer the vehicle to the next bidder down on the list. If the buyer fails to make the required deposit within 24 yours of auction end, or take possession of the vehicle within with days, the auction will be voided, the vehicle will be offered to the next bidder down. The reason for these rules is because of previous non-paying bidders who dragged things out for over a week, just in the end to never make payment or even come to view the vehicle in person. If you don't already have the money for this vehicle, don't bid please. If you need a loan, or have to otherwise secure financing, do so before bidding, not after. For this auction there will be no shipping, it is pick up only. Ive sold about 4 dozen vehicles on ebay alone, and about 2 dozen on craigslist, and I have shipped vehicles in the past through a vehicle carrier, but that is usually only used for newer, more expensive vehicles. To use that service on a less expensive, older vehicle, would be cost prohibitive. However, if you the buyer, wants to have it shipped to you, I can give you the details of the company that I use, and I can make the call to see what it would cost. To give you an idea, in the past I shipped a 2008 Dodge Caravan from Boston, Ma. to upstate New York, and it was about $575. If your flying in from another part of the country as some buyers do, you will be arriving at Logan Airport in Boston, Ma., which is about a 45 minute drive south of my location. I can arrange for picking you up and bringing you to Salisbury, Ma., where the truck is located, however there will be a $30 charge for that to cover the very high gas prices. I don't drive at the moment, so I would have to have a friend do the pickup. With the exception of the vehicle being shipped, or you flying in, all pickups of the vehicle will need to be done within 3 days of end of auction, no exceptions, no excuses.
