This is a great opportunity to own a true 50's car with a modern chevy driveline that is easy to get parts for and work on. This car is great for cruising with its modern updated driveline and turn key reliability. You could not even come close to building this car for the buy it now price. It is turn key ready to be enjoyed immediately. This is a very nice '52 Desoto hotrod. It started life as a southern car and was updated with a complete Chevrolet driveline. Since I never met the builder I don't have all the intricate details of the build. It is great running a small block Chevy V8 with an aluminum high rise intake manifold with a rebuilt Quadrajet carburetor. The code on the flat boss located below the right cylinder head is V0615CHS with another # below which is 16J326996 . The trans reads Metric Hydramatic on the pan. The rear end is a corporate GM 10 bolt non-posi. All the glass door trunk and hood weatherstripping was replaced. A GM subframe was installed properly with wheel measurements matching on both sides. It is equipped with power disc brakes, power steering and electric wipers. It runs, drives, shifts, and rides excellent. It is a turn key enjoy immediately vehicle. The seats door panels and rugs were renewed. The headliner is still stock. The interior is updated with a GM tilt wheel, Cal custom wooden steering wheel, VDO gauges for volts and water temp. The stock oil pressure and gas gauge work fine. The exterior of the car is a unique color that is accented well with like new bumpers and chrome reverse wheels with tires in great shape. The engine exhaust flows through headers and dual exhaust. This is not a rotissere frame off show car. This is a very nice driver that is a great car to take to the shows. It is unique and unlike all the others at the show. The reserve has been set very reasonably and is much less than even the cost to build a car of this caliber. The car comes with a matching roll of seat material for a possible redo of the headliner. Please look at all the pictures carefully. I even had the car put up on the lift to photo the undercarriage. The body and undercarriage are almost rust free. There is only evidence of some starting at the front body mounts.
