Originally sold on 2-28-1983 and then bought by the second owner on 9-12-1986. I bought it from him in September of 2010....24 years later! He took meticulous care of the car (most of the time at Randolph Racing in Stoughton, MA) and I have every receipt from his ownership. Below is a list of the most notable recent items:All new brakes and hoses with major service in July, 2009 (167K miles) at a cost of $3200.New tires at 152K miles.New alternator at 130K miles.New clutch at 116K miles which included the Carrera tensioner upgrade and new oil drain back tubes.Air box blow off valve.I have made the following updates/repairs in my ownership: Fabspeed Cat bypass pipe.3 point rear seatbelts for the kids New alpine CD player and new speakers- the original Blaupunkt died in October of 2010 and the speakers were crumbling. Manual antenna - power antenna was frozen.28mm H&R rear spacers to fill out the wheel wells.Factory style short shift kit and metal replacement shift knob. I have the manuals, a COA (it is numbers matching), and a DR. Colorchip kit that come with the car. I have an original Porsche Bra in box that is available for an extra $150 to the winning bidder. This is a great running and driving car that I had planned to keep as a personal car until I fell in love with a redhead (1989 930 Targa). Below is a list of known issues with the car:Targa top is cracked in a few places but still seems to be water tight in rain - I am including a new skin and headliner to replace the original skin. There are stone chips on the front of the car from use - see pictures. The cruise control is disconnected. There were some paint chips on the driver door which I coated with rust encapsulation paint to prevent further issues. - see picture. There is a small rust hole on the body seam above the battery area that was caused by accumulation of road debris like gravel and sand behind the washer fluid bottle. I cleaned all the debris out and painted the area with rust encapsulation paint and then sealed it with heavy duty black tape. My plan was to fiberglass the area this summer but I have not gotten around to it. This is pretty much cosmetic rust only and a result of crud getting caught behind the washer bottle and then getting wet and staying wet. - See picture. This is the only rust issue that I have found on the whole car. NO RESERVE AUCTION! - I will not end the auction early. If you bid, you will get the car. Please contact me with any questions before bidding or Buy it Now. I encourage potential buyers to have the car inspected or come and see/drive it in person.
