This is a beautiful car for anyone looking for a classic bug that requires very little work for recreation or show. This 1972 Super Beetle has a fantastic paint job in green with custom, Recaro, leather interior seats in brown. Wooden Grant steering wheel and large tachometer but is not hooked in at this time. Brand new Insterstate battery. 1600 Dual-port engine with custom exhaust. Does not have heater boxes. Push button start. Solid floorboards, nice carpet. Has Porche rims and small holes on deck lid where Porche whale-tail once was. The front and rear bumpers have been redone in non-original style. Runs and drives. Purchased this car in March of 2010. At time of purchase, engine was knocking. Had engine replaced by a certified, Volkswagen mechanic. The engine is a quality, used engine with replaced points and condensor. Volkswagen mechanic said that the vehicle still needs tie rod on the driver's side and new tire on the driver's front side-- currently the car shakes over 40 mph because of this minor issue. Have all receipts and records of this work done to date. The paint job does have some minor rust beginning to emerge and a scuff on driver's rear fender. There is a small tear on the driver's side seat. Too many projects and must let this (very reluctantly) go. It is NOT. It is, indeed, a 1972. The tail lights were a custom choice made by the previous owner. Also, we have pics of the trunk, which is in nice shape, available by request.
