Out of storage and up for auction is this rare and solid (310 produced) Sundance Orange 1972 GTO LS5 455HO 4-speed survivor. This PHS documented, highly optioned car (see build sheet/PHS doc photos) has spent it entire life in the same Iowa town. The sheet metal, interior, and drive train (M-22 4-speed/3:55 12 bolt posi) are all original except for the Pontiac 400 currently under the hood. This rare car, however, is being sold with another rare and complete Pontiac LS5 455HO engine with the correct block, heads, intake, and exhaust manifolds (see pics/video of block, head, intake, and exhaust casting numbers/dates). The floor pans, frame rails, and trunk pan are all extremely solid and have only mild surface rust. The body panels and chrome trim are also in excellent and rust free condition except for lip of the hood, the left edge of the hood, and the trunk lip lip (see pics). The instrument cluster, radio, and controls are all original and in excellent condition right down to the Pontiac vacuum gauge, The car runs and drives nicely as is, but should be restored back to its original greatness due to the rarity of this fine muscle car.
