1997 BMW Z3: I am the second owner of this car, I purchased the car in 1998 with 16,000 miles on it. I used it for pleasure, never raced. It has an optional factory stereo with FM, AM, WB, Casett and 6-CD Changer. I installed a stainless steel roll bar that cost $1,200 including the BMW conversion parts. The 1997 BMW Z3 did not come with roll bars, but had the frame made to accept them, they came out the following year with the roll bar as standard. This BMW was the first big block six cylinder (2.8), after that they detuned them. This car has been garage kept since new, it has the original tan top that I had removed last year and had a new rear window installed and all seams resewn by BMW of Annapolis. The paint color is Montrealblau- Metallic this car has the factory optional wheels and tires; Rear: 245/40 ZR 17" Michelin Radial X, Front: 225/45 ZR 17" Michelin Radial X the tires are nearly new with less than a 1000 miles on them. It also had a new battery installed and new BMW Propeller emblems. This car has been cared for and serviced on a regular basis by BMW of Annapolis. As far as damage there is very little wrong with this car, it has its original paint. There may be some small road nicks somewhere, that you would expect on a car with 78,000 miles on it, but I went over it this morning and couldn't find any. The drive seat has a rub on the edge of the bolster , I think from the seat belt and the windshield has a small 1cm road chip in it, but I have deducted that in the price, a new windshield installed is $250.00. The car comes with a brand new $300.00 car cover. I never expected to sell this car, I expected to keep it forever, in the the last ten years I've put 3,200 miles on it a year. I just bought a new toy (a Ferrari) and now it's time to let the BMW go. Whomever gets this car is getting a great one, it's been very reliable with virtually no problems....ever. When I purchased the Ferrari I used a company to inspect it since it was out of state, it cost me about $120 but it was worth it, I found them to be very accurate and would recommend that you do the same, the service was through Ebay. In my research I found this price to be low as the suggested retail price compared to my car. If you go to Kelly Blue Book and use the general description that I have above, then add for optional equipment; CD Multi Disc, Premium Sound and Premium Wheels, the suggested Retail price for this car in Excellent condition will come back as $10,110, which happens to be above my reserve. As I stated earlier I didn't expect to sell this car, but it was either build a larger garage to hold my cars (my wife was not happy with this option) or let this one go.
