Vehicle Detail
I am selling my custom built 1979 K5 blazer with only 99,000 original miles on it. This truck is built to the max and everything that is on it has a purpose. The truck is solid except for some rust on the inner fenders and the tailgate and there is not a single den on it. The engine and transmission have about 25,000 miles on the rebuild. The engine is a 355 4 bolt main with Eagle crank and rods, worlds sportsmen heads, Keith black pistons, edelbrock rpm camshaft and lifters, edelbrock rpm air gap intake, edelbrock 650 carburetor, all MSD ignition with the 6A ignition box and taylor made spark plug wires with header boots. The truck has twin batteries with an isolator for running the KC lights and a winch if you install one. It has 2 KC daylighters on the front custom bumper and the bumper has a place for a winch and a high lift jack. Engine has a throttle kick-up solenoid for when running the winch. It has long tube headers with new heavy 2.5 in exhaust out the back with dual flowmaster super 44s and it sounds awesome! Rear bumper is custom built with a swing out tire carrier. Transmission is a pro-street 700R4 with a hurst ratchet-shifter. Transfer case is a NP208, rear axle is a one ton 14 bolt with 4.10 gears and detroit locker and disc brakes! Yes I said disc brakes, this blazer will stop on a dime! Front axle is a dana 60 with 4.10 gears, raised pitman arm, and dual steering stabilizer setup (only one stabilizer is on it now). It has a 6 in superlift leaf spring lift (no blocks) and a drop pitman arm off the steering box with the "beefed up" steering box mount. The tires are 35 12.50 16.5 BF Goodrich all terrains on aluminum rims. The tires are about 70 perecent tread and have never leaked. Upholstery was just redone incuding the rear panels and front and rear seats. Truck has tilt wheel, electric windows and locks, autometer gauges, Pro-racing tachometer, Sony cd player with sony kick panel speakers and rear alpine 6x9 speakers, and cold air conditioning! This blazer also has a factory roll bar and the rear seat has upgraded seat belts. This truck has been geared to get about 14mpg and is a daily driver that I drive anywhere. The only bad things about this truck is that the windshield is cracked and the rear window goes up slow just like any old blazer or suburban. There has been so much done to this rig that I know I am forgetting some things. I hate to sell her but I plan on getting a new truck and my toy has to go first. Please feel free to contact me on ebay or call or text at 620-382-0464 thanks.
