I am selling my 1976 Ford F-150 pick-up truck. I purchased this back in 2005 from a local owner in North Carolina. I am a Soldier in the US Army and I have been constantly deployed since I purchased it. It has been kept at my sisters house since I purchased it because I have other vehicles and currently have no room for it. The engine is one of the largest engines for ever produced the Ford 460L. Tons of torque and power with this truck! Super fast and sounds super sweet. The exhaust is in almost new condition and have cherry bombs installed. Headers are good but I had planned to replace them. The engine fires up and runs fine, 4 barrel carburated. I had an issue with it starting and had it repaired. I have replaced the alternator and battery as well. Has had a full tune up and all hoses replaced. My plans were to paint it, re-do the interior and make minor engine upgrades. I'm not sure what type of transmission or gears are in it but it will burn out while rolling and second gear with snatch your head off. Has a few minor rust spots but over all I would say 96% of the body is in excellent condition. I would say this is a project truck but honestly there is not a ton of work that needs to be done. I purchased this vehicle for $5300 from previous owner. The engine has been rebuilt and the milage on the vehicle is the actual milage on the rebuilt engine. The previous owner had a visor on it and I removed it because it looked tacky. For some reason he used screws and screwed it into the vehicle. When I removed it I had to patch the small holes as best I could. A good paint job and body work will fix all the minor issues. Outside mirrors are less than a year old. I really hate to get rid of this truck and if it were legal I would marry it trust me this is a fun truck. Since 2005 I have been back home and driven it maybe 10 times so I guess I can't really miss what I haven't had. Time to buy a house so I'm getting rid of the Red Rooster. Whoever wins this bid please take care of this truck! If there is anything I missed that you have a question on just ask me and I will be up front and completely honest. Good luck and Happy Bidding. :****( SFC Wooten, US Army *This is the response to a question I recently received in reference to rust and AC: There a few rust spots on the rear side panels, they are pretty small nothing extreme. And slightly around the cab door trim and where I removed the ugly visor the guy had on it. And sorry it does not have AC. I will go back to the description page and add that in. I just had these pics on hand never intended to sell it. I will call my sis and have her take pics of the rust spots. I am stationed in Indiana at the moment. * Was kept under a shelter the first few years but recently has been out next to the shelter. When I go back home I always wax it to bring the color out. A paint job was top priority on my list. The previos owner dyed the interior (don't ask me why) and now the interior seat are cracking a bit. Can get all interior parts from www.lmctruck.com. Thats where I got alot of the parts I used to do small fixes. * This is a 2wd truck.
