Vehicle Detail

This vehicle has a lot of new parts on it and I buy OEM only unless I couldn't find OEM or there is a better part available(ie Gates racing TB vs OEM). The car currently runs perfectly fine even with no tune since upgrading to Link V3 but driving it is another story. I'm almost 100% certain a spring on the clutch disk has popped out again leading me to believe there is a possible alignment issue between the engine and transmission. It will drive but is VERY hard to up-shift without grinding the shit out of the gears and double clutch down-shifts are required. I was thinking of having the clutch(Spec 6 puck) rebuilt again which will only be $160 and fixing it myself but it would take me far too long since I have so many other priorities right now(built motor for the WRX, 3 week old child, preparing house to sell). You can fix it for cheap and it will be fine for another 7,500-10,000 miles before this problem pops up again if it maintains its current trend. A rebuild of the transmission will most likely be needed to find out the real cause of the clutch disk spring failures and are very cheap from quality shops($699 from Jacks Trans, $825 from Dogbox Racing are the two I would use). I have done my best to not take shortcuts and to fix any that were done and are very common in these cars. I've only used Rotella T6 oil and a Wix filter, NGK plugs every few thousand miles, Royal Purple in the trans and transfer case, and Castrol in the rear differential. The 18G was ported and rebuilt by JusMX141 on DSMTuners.com shortly before I owned the car. This car was a NE car for most of its life before I brought it to Texas and there is no rust worth mentioning besides the usual surface rust. The body is straight, a few dings and scratches here and there, and the only clear coat issue is on the wing. Other than that the original paint is in VERY good condition for its age. Please be aware that these cars are getting old now(this one is 18 years old now!) and DO require constant maintenance, especially since this car will easily make 400+hp once tuned. If you are looking for a car to just put gas and oil into and drive forever, this is NOT the car for you and please do not bid. Know what you are getting into, these cars can be very problematic if you don't take care of them. With that said, here are the issues with the car: The oil pan leaks a small amount of oil and so does the transfer case tail shaft. VERY VERY minor leaks. Car has 1 CEL due to a possible bad barometric sensor in the MAF, I recently cut and soldered/shrink tubed/taped the MAF harness to ensure a good connection but it didn't fix it. A new MAF should cure it but doesn't cause any drivability issues. I've been driving it with the front bumper off since it gets so damn hot here in SE Texas and the slim fans don't move enough air to cool it off while sitting. I have a OEM main fan I bought and will be included and will hopefully help with the temps while stationary. It would run very hot in traffic but would cool down once you got moving. A very thick intercooler, the AC condenser, two slim fans that don't move enough air, and some very hot Texas weather is to blame. The AC is there but just needs new seals put in, lines flushed and put in a deep vacuum and charged. I also bought a cruise control assembly and only needs to be installed if you want cruise control. The rear defroster doesn't work. The hatch struts are very weak and need to be replaced.Needs a tune since the upgrade to Link V3 wiped out the old one.Suspension bushings are worn. Work done to the car:New parts include: Gates Racing Timing belt + OEM timing components installed by FIST Racing(900 miles) New cam seals and front main seal also done by FIST(900 miles) New SCE ICS Titan head gasket & ARP studs(2500 miles) New Supertech Lo Rider valve seals and bronze intake valve guides. Head was rebuilt 2500 miles ago but the shop(Scroggins in Houston) that did the work didn't install a valve seal correctly and the car lightly smokes while idling and won't take responsibility for it. These can be changed with the head on the car New OEM intake manifold gasket(2500 miles) New OEM turbo outlet gasket(2500 miles) New OEM BPV gasket New Torque Solutions carrier bearing bushings(not installed) New Walbro 255(2500 miles) New SCE copper head to manifold and manifold to turbo gaskets(2500 miles) New forward facing OFH with SS oil feed line New shift fork, pivot ball, clip and TOB(4k miles) New clutch fluid(100 miles) New starter(100 miles) New battery(100 miles) New drivers side tie rod end(1500 miles and still needs alignment) New Import Evolution silicon hose kit(100 miles) New Auto Meter boost gauge(5k miles) Motor was rebuilt 35k miles ago by the previous owner. It had 2G pistons on 1G rods installed, along with a BSEK and 3G lifters. Here is a current mod list: ECMLink V3 Injen intake w/ 2g MAF and K&N shorty filter FP exhaust manifold Ported MHI 18G - Atmospheric 02 Dump Thermal exhaust 850cc FCI injectors Walbro 255 Aeromotive AFPR ETS 7" street FMIC CRS Aluminum Radiator - Dual Mishimoto fans(Factory main fan included but not installed) JMF race bumper Ingalls adjustable upper rear control arms Ingalls front camber bolts, Megan strut bars Tein Hyperflex coilovers 16" Rota Boost time attacks w/ Yokohama Tires(~7k miles) Auto Meter Boost Gauge JoeP MBC Blitz FATTShipping can be arranged to your door and will run anywhere from $700-900 to the further points in the country.
