Up for world-wide auction is a beautiful 1976 Volkswagen Westfalia that gets smiles, friendly honks, and jealous headturns no matter where she goes! This Westy runs like a charm, looks like a doll, and is strong like a horse! With her good looks, Running like a charm, is pretty like a doll, and strong as a horse, "buttercup" is ready for a new loving home. The 2.0 liter fuel injection engine offers fast acceleration, reliable torque for mountain climbs, and a top speed of 65-70 mph for highway cruising. She just received a full spring tune-up from John's Car Corner in Vermont, the ultimate air-cooled specialist in New England, and is ready to go camping. In fact, my wife and I went camping in New Hampshire just a few weekends ago, and we'll sure be sad to see her go. We are about to expand our family, which means less toys for the grown-ups and more toys for the kids. This is a no reserve auction, which means that the highest bidder wins, no matter what! This "buttercup from Germany" features: Sleeps 4 comfortably (rear seats folds into bed, and 2 people can sleep in the "second floor" tent) Sink with faucet, water tank, and cooler box Fire extinguisher Original front curtain and rear mosquito net (so you can sleep with rear hatch open) Brand new front seat upholstery and carpets throughout Poptop canvas in great condition, except the front mosquito net (can be replaced easily) Needs a new antenna Very good exterior with the most desirable yellow color (see pictures below). Very shiny and no major dings. Virtually no rust (zero structural) Great tires (more than 75% left) Great brakes Very strong 2.0 liter engine, appears to be rebuilt, but not known when. Tuned up less than 500 miles ago (this Spring). Excact mileage on body unknown, current reading is 15,850 which means either 115K or 215K. Very clean, complete, and original interior. Sony CD player and Pioneer speakers (a music lover's friend, since the original speakers offer very little and very bad sound) Manual transmission (easy to drive even if you haven't driven a stick in a while) Wheather you're a VW enthisiast, a camping fanatic, or an "old hippie", this VW camper bus will fit your needs. As you can tell, I've tried to document everything I can through pictures and video.
