Vehicle Detail
Vehicle Description Absolutely beautiful, restored, rust free 1973 MG Midget. Started with rust-free “Limeflower Green” (original color-repainted in 1999) 52,000 mile car. Body is dent free. There are 2 or 3 minor 1/16” to 1/8” paint chips but almost not worth mentioning. Interior IMMACULATE. All restoration work Professionally done by John Twist of University Motors (see pictures In the link below of John and Me at the shop in Ada Michigan). Please take notice of all the actual bills (Also accessed in the link below) for every bit of work done to this car at University Motors. I basically gave them the car and said GO! He did a total once over of the entire car. The Engine is completely re-built. No lead head conversion, new Valves and seats, Pistons, Performance Cam, Lifters & Followers. Reconditioned, Re-surfaced Cylinder head. Head port and polished for superior air flow. New timing Chain. New Water Pump. New Alternator Brushes. The Carbs are completely re-built right down to new H6 performance Needles. Choke cable is new and functions perfectly. New Rivergate 5 speed conversion with Datsun 210, 5 speed tranny. New Clutch components. New Master and Slave Cylinders. Shifts smooth as silk! New Petronics Electronic Ignition. NO MORE SETTING POINTS. MSD Ignition enhancer. New Exhaust, Muffler and hangers. Front end and Suspension tweaked. Some by University Motors some by Myself. PLEASE look at the bills to see ALL the work University Motors did. Oil pressure is 30-40 at idle and 70 psi at 3500 rpm. Strong and smooth. All electronics work, down to the last bulb. I re-built all the gauges myself (that’s right, I actually did some work myself J) I even got the trip odometer working properly! The console has been re-conditioned and the lighter even works! All new tires. Only driven slightly less that 400 miles on them. John Twist from University Motors drove this car himself for over 800 miles before I picked it up (see final page of bills - mileage in and mileage out) He said it was one of the finest Midgets he’s ever driven! Over $9,400 in mechanical work at University Motors alone. No expense spared. I’ve driven this car only 2,600 miles since the re-build. Non finer! Car sold “AS IS”. Clean Clear title. Comes with original Owners Manual, original Jack and original Lug Wrench. I am a private owner, not a dealer. My Daughter is going to college, which necessitates this sale. GOOD LUCK! NOTE: Many people have asked this so I feel it should be confirmed: This car is NOT Harvest Gold. It is most definately Limeflower Green.
