1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL W107 Roadster Up for the auction is low mileage, 2 owners – very nicely kept, 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL. Its desirable and rare Champagne Paint shines beautifully and Powerful V8 engine purrs and runs strong as ever. 1986 is the first year of the 560SL, and with it, Mercedes got it all just right, offering essentially bullet-proof reliability, satisfying power, and aggressive good looks. The 560SL combined all that Mercedes learned about the V-8 W107 chassis cars into a cultural icon that quietly and confidently told the world its occupants had "arrived." The W107 chassis was one of the longest running production bodies in the Diamler-Benz AG's line, and W107s are extremely well built and collectable. It is also the first V8 powered two-seater to be built at the Stuttgart, Germany factory. In 1986 there was only 13,788 560SL's produced, and this beauty is one of them!! About the car: This Beautiful Mercedes 560SL has only had 2 Owners and it was Florida car its whole life!! Champagne paint (color code #473 champagnermetallic) has a beautiful shine and luster, and coupled with Palomino leather interior, this car looks stunning!! As with any car that has seen the road, there are some light paint scratches, but nothing that takes away from its beauty. Chrome is in excellent condition, it is complete and new looking, and this beautiful roadster is a head turner and conversation piece everywhere it goes. This Mercedes is very solid and rust free (please see pictures!!!). Body is in wonderful condition and it is straight as an arrow! All doors, hood, and trunk are operating with ease, and everything lines up properly. It has been always garaged, pampered and kept away from rain and bad weather. Factory VIN # stamping on the front radiator support shows originality of this car. There is not a lot of 560SL’s out there in this solid and amazingly kept and preserved condition!! It is equipped with both soft top, and the hard top! Chocolate Brown Soft top is in excellent condition, and it is very easy to operate. Soft top frame is very nice and clean, without any dirt or rust marks on it, and rear plastic windows are clear and in excellent condition as well. All soft top mechanism’s are working properly and they are all brand new looking (please see pictures!!!). Original Hard top is also in great condition, including all the glass, and the headliner which is clean, and rips and tears free!! Another sign of originality of this beautiful car is stamping mark on the Hard Top (42571) which reflects the last 5 digits of the vehicles VIN number!!! Chrome Mercedes wheels make this car stand out from the crowd! -Interior Original Palomino Leather interior is in great condition! Carpet is clean, in great shape, and its rips and tears free and Leather seats are in great condition, very supportive and comfortable. This Mercedes comes with power windows, and they are working as they should! Another option that is rarely working is on many W107 SL’s is vacuum operated door locks that are working without any problems!! Just take a look at the pictures, and you will get an idea about the condition of this car, how nicely it is kept, and how beautiful it is. -Engine & Transmission Powerful 5.6 Liter V8 Engine starts with ease, and it is strong and powerful as ever with only 118,404 miles on the odometer (only about 4,700 miles per year!!). Engine also received fresh oil change, and new spark plugs, so it is ready for the new owner. Automatic Transmission shifts smoothly and effortlessly through every gear, and it makes this SL absolute joy to drive and cruise in! This German Roadster handles great at the high speeds, and it is very comfortable. Air Condition works as it should, and this car is ready for some spring topless fun!!!! There is nothing better than driving down the road with the top down, and the wind in your hair!!!
