1982 Honda GL500i

Over $750 in new parts. The saddlebags detach easily and turn into suitcases with carry handles and are locking. The radio works, all the lights and indicator lights work. Both gauges (speedometer/odometer and tachometer) work. Shaft drive (no chain or oil splatter!!) Crash bars. Dual disc front brakes. Air adjustable front forks and air shock rear. Registered 'til March 2012, original California blue and yellow plate, clean pink slip in my hand. I took the rear box off, but it's included with the bike, you can bolt it back on if you like. I got a dual sport so I don't need this and ned to get it out of my garage. The good: I've replaced the seals in the water pump, has new Honda antifreeze, changed the final drive oil, has new rear bearings and seals, new Dunlop G501 rear tire. New battery. New spark plugs. Replaced front brakes brake fluid reservoir and changed/ bled brake fluid. All the locks on the bags, boxes and radio work. Clymer repair manual included, brand new. You can have the leftover final drive oil, antifreeze and Honda engine oil. The bad: Needs a front tire, and fork seals. I have the fork seals, dust seals, fork oil, bearings and dust seals for the front wheel, was going to replace these when I put on a new front tire. Needs the front brake master cylinder rebuilt, the brakes are staying locked on, someone told me there's a diaphragm in the master cylinder that will do this when bad. The clutch went out. The front seat has a little crack in it, rear has a small split. Oil sensor for the oil light probably needs replaced. Needs windshield. It's almost 30 years old, don't expect perfection or showroom condition. Bike is advertised locally, so I reserve the right to end early if somebody buys it here.
