PLEASE READ the ad (entirely) before asking questions all my posts are detailed, but if you do not see it here please ask. 1982 Volkswagen Rabbit Caddy MK1 Mint condition with no rust, originally a Georgia car, recently brought to Michigan. Car was resprayed several years ago. Bed has been rhino lined, truck was a Diesel but has been converted to a gasser. Conversion was done by previous owner at a Vw shop near Atlanta,Ga. approx. 3 years ago, at which time the truck was gone thru and after wards it was parked. It was taken out, the new wheels/tires were installed and I purchased it. Extra vehicle and no longer using it Motor came out of a 1987 Cabrio with 78K miles, 5 speed transmission was also included in the swap, power steering, and air conditioning. No I do NOT have the Diesel engine that was originally in this truck, the spare set (4) of wheels are shown in the rear of the truck New items included at time of swap are as follows: front Blistein struts, springs, strut bearings, water pump thermostat, clutch, axles, brakes-rotors, pads, drums shoes calipers, wheel bearings, rear brake wheel bearings, exhaust, cat, muffler, hoses, new BBS wheels and new tires, (extra Vw Jetta III aluminum wheels w/tires included) inner outer tie rods, upper and lowers, new steering rack, new Alpine cd w/mp3, fresh tune up recent battery GTI center console with gauges Late model Cabriolet front bumper. rear bumper is in great shape has a ball for towing and helper springs to carry a larger payload (I never used it to haul), tail gate is spotless, no rust on this truck, the back up (reverse) lights do NOT work. The exterior is done but the interior is original, dash has cracks, the outer vents are broken, headliner is great, sunroof is removeable or just lifts up. very reliable, it has been my daily driver, for the past several months avg. 90 miles daily 6 days a week.
