Vehicle Detail
Up for sale (Again) is a 1973 Datsun 240z - High bidder last time flaked out - beware!). This vehicle has had a good amount of work towards restoration and is ready for you to take it the rest of the way. Car is CA titled and registered, and runs well. Just got back from the Motorsport Auto Z-show, and the car drove a 4 hour round-trip without a problem. Recent additions to the car include:New seat covers with original ventsnew black carpeting throughoutrestored original wood steering wheelEibach springsKYB StrutsYokohama Avid TRZ tires on new rims with "Z" center capsNew batterynew heater core and heater valve + upgraded blower motor (Honda)Converted to the Motorsport blade fuse boxAlso upgraded:Holly 390 4-Barrel carb w/Arizona Z-Car Aluminum IntakeCoated exhaust manifoldPolished valve cover5-Speed transmissionConverted to electronic ignition (E12-80)Stainless steel exhaust pipe (straight pipe, no muffler), which sounds awesome at all RPM'sHolly Red fuel pump to match up with the CarbA 280z P79 head to more efficiently handle the fuel form the 4-barrel carb Also, As an incentive to the high bidder, I am going to include the following items in this auction, if you'd like them: a) A fully overhauled P79 head, purchased on eBay from the leading seller of this part ($379) b) An R200 differential, complete with drive shaft, half shafts, and mustache bar Good Luck Everyone! For a 38 year-old car, it's in great shape, but there are a few things that will need addressed in order to make it even sweeter:A recent electrical surge knocked out the Tachometer and windshield wiper switchSmall beads of rust are beginning to bubble at the bottom of the doorsThe moron that painted the vehicle before I bought it didn't use primer, so the paint is separating in places. It's an awesome 20-footer, but you can tell up close. Some smoke in the exhaust - most likely the valve seals are a little tired. Hasn't impaired the engine performance, tho ;-)Not sure what else to tell you, but will respond to any inquiries and send additional pics upon request. Thanks for taking a peek at this auction - good luck bidding!
