This super clean survivor 79 SCOUT II is being sold at a NO RESERVE!! and i have included two links of over 180 large close up pics of this clean scout from top to bottom to give the clearest vision of this trucks condition( but if i missed one let me know and I'll get it posted:) I want this clean binder to go to a good new home as it has been a great trouble free truck for me for several years. I purchased this scout a couple years ago as a single family owner scout that has always been garaged, well card for and never off roaded. It was handed down to the original owners nephew at 86k original miles around 2002 at which time he had a 4wheel drive shop put a 4" suspension lift on along with polished forged weld wheels, bushwacker flares and 33" tires totaling over $3k dollars. He stored the scout while attending college and drove it only when back for summer. Once he graduated he got a job and moved to down town Seattle where he had no where to store it and it was offered up to me at just over 100k miles so i jumped on the opportunity. It has since been part of my scout fleet and has been a 100% trouble free truck and comes with brochure and original 79 books. BODY/EXTERIOR- The body is completely all original with zero accidents, has never had a bolt cracked on any body panels and i believe the top has never been off due to all the weather stripping has not been cut at the body and top line which is needed to remove the top. All original markings and decals under hood are very readable and all intact The door window sweeps and exterior weatherstripping is still intact and in great condition which is very hard to find. All original paint except the top had a respray sometimes in early 90's due to the oldman getting several scratches on the top during a hunting trip. Paint is still shines very nice and is really bright and beautiful on a sunny day. All glass is original w/ only 1 minor chip in front windshield, rear hatch still latches and doesn't rattle like crazy along with doors and all lights work properly and no wires have been cut or spliced anywhere! Rear end caps have had some body work performed on bottom area to either fix dents or rust in past and has just black primer covering it ( as you can see in pics) This paint is original and presents very well especially for 32 years old, but has some surface scratches throughout the truck, chips here and there and some fading on side decal but these can be bought new and re-applied. There is also a small ding on passenger end cap and 3 tiny ones in bottom middle of tailgate. There is some tiny bubble under paint by where mirror bolts to door and some above flare on driver side and you can see there is rust is starting to show on common area right in front of rear tires and those panels are available new. Floors , body mounts and rockers are in incredible shape. This truck gets alot of compliments and catches attention and any flaws mentioned really are minor considering the year and condition of most other vehicles this old. and can be seen in link INTERIOR- The interior is 100% original . All gauges and work and lights under dash still light up when doors are opened up. Dash and door panels are in amazing like new condition and seats only show minor wear and tear on driver side in a couple small areas! Tilt steering with sport steering wheel. Factory radio still works great and cigarette lighter still works like new! Rear mat, tire cover, side panels and headliner are in great shape. Windows roll up without catching or any issues, fly windows and doors lock and heater blows strong! The floors obviously had front carpet removed due the factory mat being a huge water holder and rust starter. Floor pans are in incredible rust free and clean shape. Any rust color you see will zip right off with any abrasive and is from simply not having very many coats of paint applied on floors from the factory. DRIVE-TRAIN- All original drivetrain from top to bottom! Strong 345 4bbl V8, power steering and brakes, auto transmission with dana 44's front with disc brakes and factory limited slip posi 44 rear. 4" lift , 33" all terrain tires and forged weld wheels. This motor, transmission and differentials have never been opened up , but only had regular mainteneace performed and a breand new set off warn hubs up front. This scout is a rare find and turn key driver ready and remember NO RESERVE!!
