Vehicle Detail

This is a Beautiful 1970 AMX survivor, a High Performance 360 with the Go-Pak option. Its spent most all of its life inside. The condition of the car, the limited wear and tear on the seats, brake pedal, steering wheel etc. leads me to believe there is no doubt the mileage is the original 44689 the odometer reads. Almost every part on this car is the original part. The wheels and tires have been changed, the radiator hose and clamps but that's about it. It has the original windshield water reservoir, Blackstone radiator, vacuum lines that still properly operate the ram air, operators manual, even the space saver tire and bottle which is correctly fastened with the wing nut and two wires. The tach, speedometer and all the other gauges work. The clock is the only thing that does not work. I have included a picture of the paper tag in the glove box which indicates the proper tire inflation options as an example of just how well preserved this car is. It has power steering, power Safe Command brakes, tilt wheel, AM radio that works, Shift Command automatic center console. The A/C works but needs a charge. The lights all work, even in the trunk. It has new 215-65-15's on the front and 295-5015's on the rear on new magnum wheels. The transmission was recently serviced because it had some fluid leaking out of the old gasket so a new filter, fluid and gasket was installed. The interior is in very good condition, its old but has no rips or stains. The car has some door dings and chips and a ding on the top of the fender about the size of a half dollar. The car is not perfect, its old but very will taken care of and it can only be original once. I'm not sure what the gear ratio is in the rear end but the rpms get high real fast. This car starts with no hesitation, its fast and I would feel secure driving this anywhere. There is no rust on it. I am part owner if the car and my partner and I have decided to sell it. The title is clear. I have described it honestly to the best of my ability. Its sold as is. Payment in full within 7 days from the end of the auction. I prefer a wire transfer or verifiable bank note (it will stay until my bank clears the check). This very nice car is for sale, do not bid unless you can pay for it now. I will take this to a transport here in town or store it for a reasonable amount of time for no charge, buyer pays shipping. On May-29-11 at 17:39:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been contacted by the second owner of this car, a AMX aficionado, and been provided with some of its history. The car indeed shows the original mileage. It was originally sold in Southern California. The second owner bought it in 1980 and it had about 30k miles on it. He brought it up to Salt Lake. Around 1993 he sold it to a Delta airlines pilot. We bought the car in 96. I will get some documentation from the second owner and see about getting more from the third owner. There was a Rimblow wheel in the trunk when we bought it and I have learned it is the original wheel that goes with the car. Its in excellent condition. I posted a picture of it and it will stay with the car. On May-30-11 at 19:59:40 PDT, seller added the following information: I added more pictures of the inside, the dings and some of the undercarriage. The seats are leather. The drivers side seat has about one inch of the threads in a seem that has come out. You can see this in the picture. Is not torn, just some of the thread has come out. There are pics of the parking lot dings and also it looks like the paint is stained in one spot from what I would guess is battery acid. You can see this in one of the pictures. The undercarriage was coated from the factory and you can see nothing is banged up or rusty. The paint on the decklid has some checking. The bottom of the passenger fender has some green paint underneath it. None of the bolts on the decklid or fenders or doors look like they have ever been removed, they are all painted and have no marks. The second owner told me the Moroccan brown paint was a special order color. Once again, I am selling the car as is. I am describing it as best I can. This car drives very nice, its tight and rattle free. Fly in and drive this home anywhere.
