1983 Honda GL650

"83 Honda GL650 Silverwing Interstate" I'm the second owner of this Bike and I've had it for 16 years. This is a unique Bike in many ways. The Silverwing was only made 2 years, 82 & 83. In 82 it was a 500cc and in 83 was the only 650cc. Mine has the package which allows for the Bike to be set up in a variety of combinations (both seats with trunk and bags, single seat with trunk and bags, and both seats without bags and trunk). Most everything on the Bike is interchangeable with several years of the CX 500's too........... I was riding down the Interstate on this Bike a few years ago and it was running sweet like it always did the entire time I had the Bike, not missing a beat, not overheating, etc, when all the sudden it just died. I put it in the garage so I could look into more later but never have gotten back to it. I think the cam chain went on it but I'm not a guru on the engines so it could be something less serious and easier to fix too. As much as I hate to let it go I need the room in the garage and have enjoyed the Bike and want to see someone else enjoy it now............. It has brand new tires, brakes, and seat on it.......... You'll probably want to repaint the Bike, lol, a friend said he would paint it for me for free if I let him have his way with it. We agreed on a few guidlines that apparently he didn't quite get, lol....... I have lots of spare parts for it (trunk, pipes, windshiled, starter, mirrors, pegs, antenna, plugs, oil filters, etc, etc). I could easily part the Bike out for the starting price (there is more money in just the bags, trunk, seat, fairing, stereo, etc) but I really hate to do that if there is someone out there who appreciates the Silverwings and is interested in it as is............ The Bike has been stored in the garage all these years until the last 2 weekends so hurry and get it before the weather does........ Local Pick Up Only!!!
