1967 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 396 (with a 427!) SHOULD BE DRIVEN AND ENJOYED Up for bid, with a starting price, BUT NO HIDDEN RESERVE! This car was completely restored from the frame up. The restoration was done with the intent of still keeping it as a "Driver". This is not a car that should be towed from show to show. It has always been garaged and covered. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself, it's still a head turner and it runs fast! The engine is a completely rebuilt 427 out of a Corvette. It pushes a full 400HP. The '396' decals were left on the fenders for authenticity. Complimented with a rebuilt Borg Warner Super T10 4-Speed transmission. The rear end has the original 12-Bolt Posi! The odometer was set back to zero at the end of the restoration. True millage is unknown. Completely gone through: repaint, new upholstery, carpet, interior panels, etc. Obviously a full mechanical work over, including brakes, tires, exhaust, and so on. New center console mounted clock. Everything else works except for the amp meter (what's the point if you don't have an excuse to go tamper with it in the garage?!) Not a single door ding, the car is clean, very clean. This is not a "number matching" car. But instead, it boasts some desirable updates as noted above. The cheap steering wheel cover was left on because it is believed to have been installed when the car was new, underneath is the original wheel. If you are serious and looking at this listing, you know your Chevelle's. I'm not going to go on about the little details that should be obvious. But, this car will bring up questions.
