Vehicle Detail
Up for your consideration is a 1971 Mach 1 project. It was an original 351C 4V Auto car. It does not come with a motor or trans. The engine bay is large enough to accept just about any Ford motor you might want to put in it. Example: Big Block 429 For the most part , this is a solid body. I am more than willing to explain all of its bumps, bruises and rust issues along with its positive features. This Mach came out of Georgia. The frame rails and tourque boxes are in great shape ! The lower section of the radiator support is rotted. This car will need floor pans and a complete trunk floor. it has a few small rust holes in the body. This project comes with alot of parts that will help in the rebuild process: New Left & Right full length floor pans New dash pad (black) New headliner ( black) New carpet (black) New full set seat covers (lt Brown) New door glass felt strips Used parts: A pair of doors off of a 1973 Mach 1 w/sports rooof glass , regulators and hinges. Both doors are in the begining stages of showing rust out. I will send pictures of affected spots A pair of front fenders with a few small dents, but no rust-out. The left front fender on the car does not need replaced. The right hand front fender is not rusted out, but has nasty dent between tire and bumper. A fairly nice center counsel (not broke) A good used pair of seat risers A good used fog lamp to replace the one in the grill that is missing its cross bar A pair of deluxe door panels for core parts (trim) A better used deck lid with some small rust holes in it. The only option this car really has is power steering. It has manual drum brake front and 8in. rear end . It was factory yellow with standard interior, non folding rear seat. All the interior is in it ready to be restored : headliner bows, fiberplastic trim pieces including rear seat side panels without speaker holes cut in them. The Mach 1 hood has major rott on inner structure where it latches at the core support (rusted gone ) My plan was to graft an inner structure from a stock flat hood to save $400 on an aftermarket hood. The roof has some perimeter dents in it on both sides at rain gutter rails I am trying to describe this car fairly and to the best of my vocabulary. Please ask questions whith your concerns. If more pictures are desired, include email address. Please be sure you have all the facts before you push the little button. I am selling this car AS-IS , NO waranty. It comes in non-running condition and needs a complete rebuild. It has a clear title and will also come with a dated bill of sale. I can deliver up to 400 miles for a small fee of one dollar per loaded mile. Deposite and delivery fee must be paid before I load and leave my driveway. Balance may be paid in cash when I get to your location. If you are having it shipped, all funds must clear my bank before the car is shipped. I will help load on your trailer or the shipper of your choosing that comes to my location for free. Shipping and anything related to transportation is the buyers cost and responsibility. I am located 20 minutes South of St. Louis in Missouri. Call me at 1-314-757-3489.......James I am willing to take the time to make sure you are happy by sending pictures and answering all questions. Check my other listing for a rare opportunity On Apr-26-11 at 07:33:51 PDT, seller added the following information: There are two sets of front seats with this car. The original set is only good for parts (bad covers and foam) The black set pictured just need the new seat covers that come with the car installed. The pictures do not show that the front windshield is badly cracked and will need replaced. There is rust holes under the rear seat I will have the steering working before the auction ends. The car will roll and steer with ease when the winning bidder recieves it. I will see what I can do to make the brakes work also. Any and all added work and information is at no extra charge to my bidders. On Apr-28-11 at 21:02:59 PDT, seller added the following information: In the picture of the driver side, it looks as if the driver door sags. Not sagging, LH door hinges are both solid with no play. Poor adjustment causing this look. RH hinges are slightly worn. (some up and down play) rebuild pins will work. Extra doors both have hinges in need of rebuild. I have restored many hinges in the past, inexpensive and easy task. Please view my Q&A for more great questions with answers. On May-01-11 at 20:45:38 PDT, seller added the following information: From here on out, all bidders must have a score of at least 3 with 100% pos. feedback to bid on my items ! I never wanted to have to post this, but am recently forced to. A 13 year old was able to sign up for eBay today without his parents permission and place a substantial bid on this item. I do not want to discriminate against the new members , we all start at 0 with 0%. I feel honored that the teenager liked my car enough to sign up and bid . I feel that this young person will make a great addition to eBay in the future. (a real go getter) I am truely sorry if you feel I am being unfair with this requirement. Exceptions are possible, please call for conformation. 1 314 757 3489On May-26-11 at 08:25:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Don't be scared to make an offer. I know I will never get my money back on this one. Lesson learned ! I will sell the rolling shell with clear title for $1,200 (no interior or extra fenders, doors or deck lid) I can auction off seats, counsel, surrounds and new parts later. Doors and fenders can go to next swap meet. I also have several pictures of the underside. " the rails and torque boxes are in great shape"
