The Mustang you are viewing is the finished product of a very detailed and complete restoration. Please look closely as the attention to detail is impressive. This car was restored by a Mustang professional who did only these cars. Tremendous time and effort was taken. It looks like the fenders, quarters, full floor pan, frame rails and door shells are all new. All the brightwork is new or polished. Also, wheels and tires are practically new, gas tank & sender, lines, brakes, wheel cylinders, exhaust, front end bushings and on and on. Nothing was overlooked. The Pony interior seems all new; Carpets, seats, door panels, shifter, handles & knobs, shaded windshield, dash bezels, dash pad, convertible top, radio, etc. Again, all new. The engine compartment has also had a correct and detailed restoration using correct decals, hoses, even a Ford alternator belt. The trunk also looks new with new mat & tire cover, restored original jack and ratchet, brand new tire on a restored rim, matching jack storage bag, trunk decal, filler hose and clamps, etc. By now I'm sure you get the picture. The engine and transmission (which appears to be rebuilt) perform just as they did when new. The motor goes right to fast idle until it warms up then settles to a smooth idle. The trans shifts crisply throughout the gears. No strange noises or slippage. There is no hesitation on acceleration and plenty of power with out the normal oil leaks or smoking. The power steering works effortlessly and makes this car a pleasure to drive. The base coat/clear coat paint was wet sanded, buffed and plenty of quality wax applied to give it an extreme shine all over. The is no rust showing anywhere! Every item in the car works as it should. The top goes up and down with ease, all the windows work fine, the locks all function, every electrical item works including back up lights, 4 way flashers, heater fan, interior light, dash lights...EVERYTHING! I bought the car from a guy who purchased the car from his neighbor and close friend who was going through a divorce. That person paid $32,000 for the car. Now the previous owner has some health issues so his life is changing dramatically. I do not usually buy Mustangs but this car was so nice... you know how that goes. It has been in a heated garage for 3 years, covered, sitting on a lift, rarely ever used. It's time to go to a new owner. I do not have any documentation and can not certify the mileage. The door data plate is brand new and matches the fender vin but if you are adament about a guranteed "numbers matching", guaranteed low mileage Mustang, this may not work for you. But if you simply want a beautiful Mustang that will please everyone, consider this car. As I said, the original restorer did Mustangs only and had access to just about everything. I do not gurantee authenticity of any numbers as I can not verify so if you are interested I strongly recommend you make an appointment to look at this car in person (but not after the Auction). You will not be disappointed! My State has no Title for any car over 10 years old but I do have certification papers from the DMV stating that fact and a current registration.
