Up for sale is a 1973 Datsun 240z. This vehicle has had a good amount of restoration and is nearly complete except for some finishing touches and a good paint job. Car is CA titled and registered, and runs well. Just got back from the Motorsport Auto Z-show, and the car drove a 4 hour round-trip without a problem. Recent additions to the car include:New seat covers with original ventsnew black carpeting throughoutrestored original wood steering wheelEichbach springsKYB StrutsYokohama Avid TRZ tires on new rims with "Z" center capsNew batterynew heater core and heater valve + upgraded blower motor (Honda)Converted to the Motorsport blade fuse boxAlso upgraded:Holly 390 4-Barrel carb w/Arizona Z-Car Aluminum IntakeCoated exhaust manifoldPolished valve cover5-Speed transmissionConverted to electronic ignition (E12-80)For a 38 year-old car, it's in great shape, but there are a few things that will need addressed in order to make it even sweeter:A recent electrical surge knocked out the Tachometer and windshield wiper switchSmall beads of rust are beginning to bubble at the bottom of the doorsThe moron that painted the vehicle before I bought it didn't use primer, so the paint is separating in places. It's an awesome 20-footer, but you can tell up close.Small amount of smoke in the exhaust - most likely the valve seals are a little tired. Hasn't impaired the engine performance, tho ;-)Not sure what else to tell you, but will respond to any inquiries and send additional pics upon request. The frame is original, a little dented, but original. In places you can see the undercoating coming off and some yellow over-spray from the last paint job. Even the floor plugs appear to be original.
