Vehicle Detail

This car is being sold for someone else. Please contact them with questions at 608 374 2323 or 608 269 2170 or 608 377 3319 orE-mail is danieljj@centurytel.net This is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 which originally had a 428 CobraJet with a C-6 Automatic. That engine was already gone when I purchased the car back in 1979. It now has what is basically a 429 CobraJet and C-6 automatic transmission. The engine block is a standard 429/460 two bolt block and cast iron crankshaft. It has BOSS 429 820 "T" engine connecting rods with TRW forged aluminum pistons and a set of 1970 cast iron 429 Super CobraJet cylinder heads. There is mild Ford Motorsports hydraulic cam and aluminum Offenhauser intake. The ignition system is a Mallory Unilite along with a Holley 770 carb. A Sniper tunable nitrous system helps get the car going at the drag strip to a time of 11.61 sec. The C-6 transmission was completely gone through and has a shift kit and TCI torque converter that transmits power to the "N" cased 9" traction lock rear end with 3.00 - 1 gears. The body and drivetrain were all gone through back in 1994 and I have put about 50 K miles on it since then. The car had the usual trouble spots as far as rust when gone through. Both front torque boxes and partial front floor pans were replaced along with partial rear frame rails, trunk drop offs, and outer wheel houses to make the car soild again. Both of the shock towers were cut back to make room for the new engine but could be replaced now that they make aftermarket towers. It has new rear quarter panels, door skins, front fenders and front and rear valances. The suspension has all new control arms, shocks and springs along with a manual rack and pinion steering system that makes the car drive straight as an arrow with no on center wander like the old style gearbox cars. The brakes are front power disc and rear drum. The interior is the Mach 1 deluxe package and I have replaced the dash, door panels, rear quarter trim panels and new carpet with insulation. The front seats have been recovered. The guages all work with the exception of the clock which has never worked. The center console has a crack along the side and the heater control does not move from the defrost position. The cable is seized up and it's one of those things you just never got around to fixing. The car has some chips in the paint along the bottom and is not perfectly clean underneath but that is because this is a car you want to drive and not just look at. This is an investment you can actually have fun with and not worry if you get a bug or road tar on it. This car could also be restored back to an original CobraJet car with not much effort. Any questions please call me at 608-374-2323 and I can answer any questions or concerns you have. E-mail is danieljj@centurytel.net The buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping. On May-22-11 at 08:20:36 PDT, seller added the following information: The car is an R code. The miles are 153K, not 135K.
