Vehicle Detail
Just a really neat old 1968 International Harvester 1200 Series, 3/4 Ton, Longbed, Stepside, V-8, 4 speed manual, Las Vegas (dry and warm climate) pickup truck. This is a really solid truck that runs and drives great. Many people don't know that 1968 was the last year that round-body trucks were made in the USA. Ford stopped making them in 1956, Chevy/GMC in 1959, Dodge in 1960 (not counting the WM300), and Studebaker in 1959, 1960, or 1961. International ran with this body style from 1957 until 1968 when they introduced their square trucks for the 1969 Model Year. Another point to consider is that IH primarily built big trucks. As a result, their small trucks (like this one) had a build quality their peers couldn't match. They simply lasted longer and aged better; all else being equal. So in my eyes this is a special truck. Here's what I know: *New, professionally upholstered bench seat*Newer tires all around (rears are very cool vintage looking Kelly-Springfield M&S tires)*Newer radiator just installed*Freshly rebuilt carburetor*Brand new mechanical fuel pump*Rare factory AC (IH logo'd)*Possibly a freshly rebuilt engine (I was told this, can't verify, looks and runs new) Like I said, this is a neat truck. It did have some minor rust (repaired) in the front fenders (very common) and has been painted once long ago. A previous owner appears to have started some body work on the rear fenders. Other than that, it has 43 years of patina that only Southern Nevada can provide. It runs and drives great and could be a wonderful daily driver that is relatively modern underneath but still looks very vintage. Perhaps it would be a great attention-getting vehicle to advertise your business. And the vintage, original IH AC unit is a big plus. I'd be delighted to get this in the hands of someone who really appreciates cool, old trucks. Please call Chris at 435-669-1470 and I will be happy to answer your questions.
