Vehicle Detail
I really am dreading this listing. I purchased this bus last year and have done a lot of work to it. However, I shipped off the engine and carbs last year to be rebuilt and they have yet to return. So that sucks. I just can't afford to purchase another engine and would rather send the bus to someone who can finish the job. From what I know, the bus has two previous owners. The first bought it new and drove it until 1994. It was then off the road (probably due to the blown cylinder, which is why the engine was being rebuilt) until it was sold around 2005 and stored in a garage. I bought it in 2010 and had high hopes. I have the original title (still in the original owner's name). Here is what I have done so far: Gutted and throughly cleaned and scrubbed the interior Removed enginePrimed/painted engine bayRemoved all windows and bad rubberSanded and primed bodyInstalled laminate flooring for cargo areaSanded, primed and painted cargo areaCabinets professionally rebuiltWood headliner professionally repairedCleaned, primed and painted fiberglass topRemoved old brake componentsRepaired and cleaned one louvered windowPainted front seat framesReplaced padding and covers for front seats (the passenger has a tear though--it was my first one and I screwed upSteam cleaned rear bench seat (original fabric)Here are highlights of what will be included, though the list is longer:New Hankook tiresNew front shocksAll windows except the windshield. It was cracked and needed to be replacedNew front brake calipers and padsNew rear shoes and wheel cylindersStarterAll original canvas cotsBig box of old boltsMany bags of bolts labeled as to their locationFiberglass top and all of its partsAir cleaners (two of them)New rear light assembliesMany more small partsThere are a few rust spots on the bus. Many are typical and none are detrimental to the functionality of the bus:Battery tray is toast (was planning on repairing that before the engine arrived)Right rear quarter panel from the battery trayDriver's floor (not that big of a section and I was going to hold off for now)Section behind the driver's door (It appears to have been replaced a while ago and has a lot of old Bondo there. That was my next project.)Section under windshieldIf you have any questions, then please ask first. I would prefer a local buyer who has a trailer. It is currently in my garage which is on an incline. If you really want to have it delivered, then that is fine too. Just keep in mind that there may be issues with the trucking company since the bus is not running and has no brakes. On May-20-11 at 19:25:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Also, please keep in mind that many of the parts are not attached to the bus. Most notably, the fiberglass top is not on the bus and all the windows are out but sitting inside the bus.
