It' s not fair to the other bidders or the sellers. 1961 Ford Galaxie Starliner ...Here's your chance to get 2 Starliner's in one location I have two 1961 Ford Starliners for sale that will need restoration but would be beautiful cars when completed. These are both Z-code cars with my understanding they were originally 390 4 Barrel cars with 3 speed manual shift. I do have the titles for both cars. Vin# 1 1G53Z108135 Vin#2 1G53Z134008 One car is Black with Black/White interior the other is Black with Red/White interior I wish to sell both cars at this time. You could choose one and use parts off the other or sell one and use the money to help offset this purchase. !961 Starliners are getting harder to find all the time while becomming more and more popular. One is very complete and the other only has a block and heads in it but I have a 1974 360 Cu Inch motor out of a Ford truck that goes with this purchase. I was told by the previous owner it was running when pulled from the truck but I cannot guarantee. The grills and rear panels on both cars are very good condition as well as much of the stainless. both windshields and rear windows are in good condition. On May-17-11 at 14:46:06 PDT, seller added the following information: It has just been brought to my attention by a very knowledgable Starliner owner that the red Interior car I have pictured was originally a very rare Factory High Performance 390 Starliner. Several clues he gave me check out. 1. The lack of an axle code on the serial plate 2. 3/8 inch fuel line. He says only the HI-PO had thart big of fuel line... It measured 3/8 where the other starliner was smaller. 3. The brake line runs from a distribution block below the master cylinder towards the front of the car and across the front of the frame frame and ten back to behind the upper control arm on the passenger side and then into the wheelwell. 4. I've got to pull the wheel off the front and check as he says the Hi-Po had 3 inch brakes... I'll check out tomorrow but everything is pointing to a 390 Factory Hi-PO. The Partial engine in it most likely is not Hi Po Block but tomorrow 5-18 I will try to find a casting number. Another member asked me to identify heads and they were not Hi-Po according to him. Oh by the way the car with red interior has traction bars on it and tow brackets on the front so must have race history somewhere.On May-18-11 at 18:42:57 PDT, seller added the following information: I pulled the wheel off today and it does have the big brakes which were used on the Factory Hi Performance (See picture) I don't know if the remaining motor block and heads are Hi Po and I do not want anyone to make that assumption, I had one person ask me for the head casting numbers and he said they were not Hi Po heads and I am no authority on that. The Block has casting numbers 04AF over 6015-A if that helps anybody. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK.
