This car has not been smoked in or abused in any way. It has the original hard top as well. The soft top is in very good condition and it is the original factory top as well. The dash is in excellent condition without any cracks or fading. The leather is in outstanding condition without any rips or tears. The carpet is super clean and the woodgrain looks great! The body is nice and straight and the silver metallic paint has a nice deep glossy shine. For a 21 year old car this SL is very impressive. This 500SL drives just as great as it looks. It is silky smooth on the highway and a real joy to drive around town. The motor starts right up, does not smoke, and has plenty of power. The transmission shifts effortlessly through all the gears without any slippage. The suspension is nice and tight and there are not any rattles or odd noises while driving. It has a brand new set of tires and the brake pads have plenty of life left. The Automatic Climate Control blows ice cold and the heater works great. Both Seats are powered, fully adjustable, and both have 3 memory settings. We have sold many SL's ranging from 1974 models - 2006 model years and this one ranks pretty high on our list.
