Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is this fabulous 1966 Chrysler Town & Country 6 passenger Station Wagon. This car is a survivor with its original paint, upholstery, & 365 hp 440 TNT engine / 727 3 speed automatic transmission. This would have been a LOADED car as its equipped with Chryslers Airtemp air conditioning including the rear A/C roof mounted system (A/C doesn't work), power windows (they all work), AM/FM radio, & dash mounted electric clock. This a very sweet smooth running car & you could fly in & drive it home with no problems. The dash has No Cracks & the door seals / window rubbers are like new. The big high compression 440's got gobs of torque and moves this car Right Now! The transmission's shifts are crisp & solid. She idles smooth & the carburation is spot on. It just runs & drives superb. The owner is one of the best wrenches that I know & all his vehicle's seem to run perfect. He works hard to keep them that way. Mileage shows 24000 but its probably rolled over , true mileage is unknown. This cars condition has a few cosmetic flaws because its never been restored or repainted. The passenger side has a crease from the rear door & down the center of the rt rear 1/4 panel, I believe a good paintless dent repair person could get some or all of this back into good straight condition at reasonable costs. This has a small spot of rust in the rear fender skirt areas on both sides and down into the spare tire part (see photos), this may be common on these cars according to people I've talked to about this. It should be removed & spot painted in. POR 15 chassis paint will stop it from continuing on. Tailgate has damage near the center lock area (see photos). Left rear 1/4 panel next to the bumper also has a rust area (see photos). No other corrision was discovered. Floors & chassis are rock solid. Interior is original & close perfect condition, look at the steering wheel , never restored & no cracks. The owner purchased some NOS vinyl just in case anything happened to the original seats in this car. This material is included with this auction. All the chrome is bright & shinny with no pits. The paint has been brush touched up here and there, so its not perfect, but looks good considering it age and the fact its original. Best of luck on your bidding, Selling at a price thats reasonable for the condition of the car. Any questions on this car can be answered by calling the owner @ (208) 344-5374 (Rob)
