Up for auction is a very nice example of GM produced 1971 Chevelle Malibu muscle. This Chevelle has had it's original V8 transplanted with a modern GM 350 crate engine that runs extremely smooth, coupled to a GM TH350 automatic transmission that shifts very sharp through all gears. The car has power steering, power brakes, factory A/C, and a nicely detailed engine compartment. The sheet metal, floor pans, trunk, and frame rails are all rust free. The Ermine white paint, Hugger orange SS stripes and pin striping are of better than driver quality but have a few chips and blemishes as would be expected with a car that was built to be driven. The interior is in excellent condition, compliments the exterior paint scheme nicely, and appears to be all original except for the newer carpet and Grant GT steering wheel. All the gauges, instruments, lights, and turn signals work very well. The car also has a newer Pioneer stereo sound system with a remote controlled CD changer in the trunk. The suspension on this car is very tight for a muscle car era vehicle and makes driving it a pleasure. This car gets thumbs up and stares where ever it is driven, has just enough power to command respect from other hotrod owners, and still be comfortable enough to drive through hot summer nights with the A/C on.
