Vehicle Detail

100% Electric vehicle. I got rid of the motor, gas tank, radiator, and exhaust tank, and converted it to electric in 2007 from a conplete kit. I have driven it about 9,000 miles since then with no problems. 4X4, 5 speed manual, 55+ mph (I have had it up to 65-70 mph on interstate), 1231 controler, and vacuum power breaks. The warp 9 motor is double shafted and the front end runs the power steering pump. It has rear air boots, emergency cut off switch, 3 dash gadges for state of charge, amps, and 12 volt system. The 12 volt system (lights, wipers, fan) is a seperate battery, but is connected to the main batteries by a 144VDC-12VDC converter. The Zivan charger runs off 220 volts (for quicker charge), has a light to indicate charging status, varies amperage based on % of charge, and shuts off when charge is complete. Will charge batteries to 80% in about 5 hours with the remaining charge at a lower amp rate. Charger is designed to charge a 144 volt battery pack. I set it up with 24 - 6 volt lead acid traction batteries (about 1450 lbs of batteries) and had about a 50 mile range per charge. Front battery box holds 9 batteries and rear battery box holds 15. Rear box has a blower fan to use while charging. The current battery pack is weak and will need replacing. The batteries could be replaced with 12 - 12 volts or switch to lithium ion batteries to lighten the load for more miles per charge. (I was amazed at how the price of lithium ion batteries has decreased since I set it up in 2007.) As a winter addition, there is a 110 volt rubber mat heating pad that is fitted in the bottom of both battery boxes. The body is in good shape considering the age. Crank windows, good radio, no AC, has heater that runs off main battery pack. One exception is a crack in the right side of the front windshield, but is not on drivers side (see picture). Rear tires very good; front tires new. Feel free to call with questions at 608-415-2881.
