Up for auction is my 1971 Ford F-100. I bought this truck with the intentions of restoring. I have owned it for approximately 1 1/2 years and is my daily driver. The truck has had an older amatuer restoration done to it. The previous owner put a 1969 grille on it which in my opinion is much better looking then the 1970-72 grilles and a new Ring and Pinion with a 3.73 gear ratio in the factory 9 inch rear end. He also took out the fuel tank from behind the seat and now runs from the auxillary tank only which is 25 gallons. The motor is a 390 cu. in. from a 1965 Thunderbird and has only 5,200 miles on it since it was professionally rebuilt. I purchased a brand new NOS speedometer head and installed it when the motor was put back in the truck, thence the 5,200 miles. The transmission is a professionally rebuilt C6 automatic with less than 1,000 miles on it. Edlebrock 1405 600 CFM Carburetor. I had the tailgate repainted about a year ago because the previous owner had a murial on it. The truck originally had manual steering and I replaced it with power steering using all new parts. Steering box, Steering column, Pump and Brackets, Rag Connector And Hoses. The truck has numerous paint chips and the hood has a couple of dings in it as well as a rusted out spot on the underneath. Except for the hood there are no rusted out spots on this truck, just some surface rust as you can see in the pictures. This is a Very Solid Truck. The inside of the cab is in Very Good Condition with brand new carpet and firewall cover. All the glass is in great shape with a new windshield and gasket. Drives and runs fantastic. No shimmys or pulls what so ever. Runs down the interstate 80-85mph with plenty of pedal left. Have only had it up to 85 mph and drives straight as an arrow. Real head turner.
