NO RESERVE 1953 Chevy truck presented here is already a running and driving rat rod. The pictures tell the whole story. The truck has: 1. Original 1953 Chevy 1/2 ton body including running boards and stepside bed. 2. Body is mounted to an 1982 Chevy 1500 truck frame with modern upgrades like power steering, IFS, and disc brakes. 3. Small-Block Chevy "SBC". 4. TH350 Automatic transmission 5. Limited-Slip Rear End. 6. New High-End O'Reilly Battery. 7. Edelbrock intake on motor w/ 4bbl car. 8. New 12 volt headlights 9. All-new wood in truck bed. 9. Clear title It needs: 1. Smaller tires, the ones on there are just so it can roll around and what I had. 2. The tail lights and turn signals need to be wired up. 3. The bed and running boards need to be mounted. 4. Gas tank(not included). It runs and yard drives, but needs lights and these few minor things to be hitting the highway or rocking cruise night in style. I was told the motor was a 70's small block Chevy 350 with 4 bolt mains. I do not know how to verify this, but it was what I was told by the previous owner. I do know it and the TH350 transmission run great with no problems. The wood in the bed is all new and looks great! The bed and running boards are not currently mounted, just strapped down and set in place. Both front and rear bumpers (though I think I reversed them in the pics) are included as are some of the chrome handles and door panel inserts. It is a sweet old' Chevrolet truck that doesn't need too much to be cruising down the road. All the heavy work has been performed on this project and now all it needs are your finishing touches. It has tires and wheels that hold air fine all around and can roll or drive onto any type of tow truck, flatbed or hauler. Clear title included! The title says 1955, and is certainly for this truck. The number is on a 53 black ink style VIN plate (they changed the plates completely in 54 to blue ink with a different design and rivet orientation) but they used the same VIN numbers from 53 through 55, so this must be a 53 that the state of NC mistakenly titled as a 55 some time in the past. I was also told this could happen if the 1953 model truck stayed on the lot and wasn't actually sold until 1955. I have documented other cases where this has happened with other trucks so check it out yourself.The red boat gas does not go with the truck.
