Moving, need to sell.This classic pre-war sedan with suicide doors is ready for further restoration and finishing. Exterior: complete body, solid frame. Left front and rear fenders have been spot repaired. Right rear fender needs some work, (see pic). Doors open and close easily, windows crank up and down easily. Glass all there. Right windshield cracked. Needs some body work on left lower doors and on floor under rear seat. Tailpan also will need repair. Bumpers straight, need rechroming. All ss trim there. Have an original hood ornament. The 15" bias ply retread tires will need replacing. Exterior lights not working. Interior: trim and hardware intact. Steering wheel has typical cracked plastic along the rim but is functional. No horn ring. Right sun visor bracket broken, but sun visor comes with car. Radio out of car but included in the purchase. Oil, temp gauges, speedometer, and odometer work. Ammeter and gas gauge worked when last connected; presently not connected. Temporary ammeter in place to enable 12v alternator to charge 12v battery. there is a complete set of Harness Unlimited original type wiring harnesses included in this auction that need to be installed. Presently temp wiring to start, run, and charge. Running gear and engine: new wheel cylinders, rebuilt master cylinder, ss brake lines. Aluminized exhaust system. Rebuilt clutch disc. Radiator cleaned and pressure checked. Gas tank cleaned and sealed. New gas tank sending unit, in place but not connected, straps and gas line. Rebuilt front and rear motor mounts. Engine professionally rebuilt: heads milled, magnafluxed, hardened exhaust valve seat installed. block cleaned, bored and honed, new pistons and rings. Main and rod bearings converted to insert type. Crankshaft journals ground. New cam bearings and oil pump gears. Water and fuel pumps professionally rebuilt. Rebuilt carb. '52 buick timing chain cover installed to eliminate front rope-type seal,( original cover included with car). A 12v single wire GM type alternator has been installed, ( original 6v generator included with car). Original starter is used to start the car. box of pats and a couple of grill sections also included in this auction. This car can be easily converted back to a 6v system by simply remounting the original generator and buying a 6v battery. This car must be picked up by June 18, 2011.
