This beauty was purchased new at the Buick dealership in my town, Ironton OH, Tomko Buick (now closed). It had only one owner until last month when I bought it. It has a 300ci V8 engine with a Super Turbine 300 automatic transmission which had 2 forward speeds, it is not a power glide. The transmission has the factory "switch pitch" converter which has all the correct parts and works great. Original owner drove the car daily until last month. His wife had her own car and the Buick was his main and only car. The good; It starts great, choke works great, it runs, rides and drives good. The tires are good. The brakes are good, the exhaust is good, the power top works good. The horn and lights work well. The bright trim is above average on the car. The black interior is OK. All the glass is good and the windows work well. The heater blower works and the radio works and the antenna is good. The locks all work well and has the original keys with the codes which were never knocked out. The owners books are present, protecto plate, top manual, accessory manual. The floors in the passenger compartment show no holes when viewed from the bottom. the trunk lid, hood, doors show no rust holes. The front fenders show an old repair at the bottom. The cowl, windshield area, core support, inner wheel wells show no rust holes. The black top boot is in the trunk and looks OK. I have a clean clear Ohio title in my name ready to go. The bad; The transmission does not have high gear. Park, neutral, reverse, low gear work fine, no high gear. This is the reason the original owner sold the car, he finally decided to get another car and let his beloved Buick go. ( I have a good transmission available). The car has rust, in the quarters, in the trunk floor, some on the frame. The heater core is bypassed, assume it is bad. The top is bad ( was told it has only had one replacement top).
