Vin Number 9F02R481076 Marti Report Verified True Shelby 428 SCJ and report included Built on 2/21/1969 at the Dearborn Factory Originally sold at Marv Tonkin Ford in Portland Oregon to Keith Work This car features the Drag Pack which includes C-6 Cruise-O-Matic 428 SCJ Engine with Drag Pack Traction Lock Differential Visibility Group Goodyear Brand Tires Power Front Disc Brakes Power Steering AM Radio, Deluxe Harness Belts and Warning light Tachometer and Trip Odometer Original Paint code was 63 C Royal Maroon, but was changed in the 80's to Medium Shelby Green Only 170 Shelbys were built with the Drag Pack Dealer installed options were, Air Conditioning, Speed Control, fog lamps, center console, wood interior trim, Swing Away Column, Rear Window Shade Kit, and Simulated side air vents, and functioning factory push button stereo This car has always been a local Shelby and shown at many events during it life Recently pulled from storage of over ten years and now offered for sale It has had three Owners from day one and two of them were brothers who have owned it since the late 70's. And always been a local Oregon Shelby The Exterior of this Shelby is in Average cosmetic condition, body is good and straight with no major dings or dents in it. Body fits good overall, but has a few marks on the edged from hitting or misalignment that have been fixed. The Front end is all factory fiberglass in good condition with no stress cracks of signs of repair. Lower Doors look like they have had repairs some time ago but do not show any bubbles or rust. Only rust bubbles are a small patch on the left rear quarter. Paint is very shinny but could use a bit of touch up on a few rock chips, but not much. It also has had a Black Reflective Factory GT500 Stripe installed that is why in the pictures it sometimes looks white because of the reflectiveness of the factory stripe kit. In the door jams it shows some overspray from when painted. The Chrome Bumpers are in great condition. The interior is in average condition, with really little wear and tear. Seats and carpet are original and as they came from the factory. The red stripes in the seats and carpets look great. Dash pad is free from cracks and sun damage. Door panels are also in excellent condition. The headliner does have one small hole in it near the mirror. Wood trim is in good condition no large scratches or blemishes. Power train is as would be on this car when it came from the factory. Only upgrade is a new Edelbrock AFB carburetor, but the original is with the car. The Traction lock rear diff was removed from the car during the gas crunch in the 70's so it just has a 3.50 open differential in it now. Engine was just completely rebuilt by Denny Aldridge and only has 800 Miles on the motor, as well with the C-6 automatic transmission. Block was a warranty replacement block. The block I am told is a Factory SCJ block but from October of 1969. This Shelby starts and runs good, as well with drive straight down the road. Brakes work properly and exhaust is in good condition. Underside of the car is free from rust or damage. I have underside picture is someone requests. All the lights are working except for the turn signals, I did notice that it had newer relays for the tail lights in the back but still are not working, I think it is a flasher unit. Overall this car is very complete and original. Lots of factory original parts come with this car, like extra trim pieces, hoses, factory Holley Carburetor, and other parts. It is very rare to find a car that is as collectible as this Shelby that has not moved around very much during its life. So a car with this pedigree is very desirable. Like I said this car just came out of storage, almost a barn find in reality, I have pictures of what it looked like when I got this rare Shelby GT 500 SCJ. This is a great car to easily restore or make a Sunday cruise in summer car.
