Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE THIS CAR IS BEING RELISTED!! NO RESERVE!! Winning bidder was unable to complete transaction…please bid to own!! Offered for sale a 1966 Dodge Coronet 500. This car is originally from Texas as proven from state inspection sticker on windshield (1989). I have owned this car since September of 1997 and it has enjoyed indoor winter storage every year since then. The car’s exterior was cosmetically refurbished at some point before my tenure of ownership. The interior has enjoyed new seat covers, but the rest is refurbished and restored original components. The car was originally equipped with the “poly” 318 engine. This engine dropped a wasn’t worth fixing. I replaced that engine with a time period correct “1967” 383 engine out of another 1967 Coronet. The engine and the 727 transmission were swapped as a pair out of that salvage car. The engine was mildly rebuilt using .060” Keith Black hypereutectic pistons. The stock “516” heads were freshened with new valves, guides and springs. A Mopar 484 camshaft and Harland Sharp roller rockers were used. The original crank and rods were checked and re-installed. ARP bolts were used on the engine internals and topped with the MOPAR alum resto intake and an Edelbrock 750 carb. Stock dimensions and a “relative” stock 10:1 comp ratio was maintained. Have recipts. The running gear is all stock with new brakes all around. Has new mopar rear leaf springs with shackles. I installed a dual resv. master clyinder along with the correct junction block to accept the two brake lines instead of the factory single line. The drive shaft has had new U-joints installed and balanced just last summer. The 15” American Racing wheels were bought and installed in 1999 along with the BFG tires. I did take off the factory A/C components when I made the engine swap, but they were saved. I have a correct big block compressor to go with the 383 engine config. I updated the headlights with modern halogen sealed beams as well as updated all of the running and brake lights with higher wattage bulbs. Most every electrical component operates except the radio; which has no speaker in the dash board. The wipers and washers all work great with the factory style aluminum wiper blades. This is a great running rust free car which was driven twice to the MOPAR nationals in Columbus, OH. I want to sell it because I recently became interested in Ducati motorcycles so it is time to move on. If there are any questions or additional pictures you want please message or Email!! This is my re-attempt of selling on Ebay so let me know how I can be of assistance.
