Vehicle Detail
1997 PASSAT GLX ENGINE: 2.8-liter V-6 HORSEPOWER/TORQUE: 172hp @5800 rpm/173 lb-ft @4200 rpm TRANSMISSION: Five speed manual FUEL ECONOMY: 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway, 21.4 mpg test WHEELBASE: 103.3 in. OVERALL LENGTH: 181.5 in. OVERALL HEIGHT: 56.4 in. OVERALL WIDTH: 67.5 in. CURB WEIGHT: 3097 lbs FUEL CAPACITY: 18.5 gal. LUGGAGE CAPACITY: 14.4 cu. ft. TIRES: 215/50HR15 INSTRUMENTS: Speedometer, tachometer, fuel level, water temperature, digital clock. EQUIPMENT: Power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, cruise control, air conditioner, leather seats, heated front seats, AM-FM stereo radio with CD, power sunroof, anti-lock braking, dual air bags. COLOR: Outside: Green dragon; Inside: beige Everything works except: - the brake light is on since i changed the front brakes and rotor, but couldn't figure out where to plug the cable coming out of the brake (maybe to a captor included in it) so i agreed to have it cut. - engine light on, run a diagnostic, it has to do with oxygen sensor, so if your state requires to test for O2 you will need to replace an O2 sensor. - then, 2 cosmetics wares inside: 1st the driver sit has a rip in it, 2nd the seiling clothes was wearing (happened in almost all of those) so i removed it with the intention to put something else, but didn't took the time to. Then while I owned it, I fixed the cruise control (800$), changed the water pump (300$), NO need to change the timning chain for another 100 000 miles, changed the windshield (150$), put new front shocks (500$), and some other little fix like serpentine belt etc..., i have kept all the bills since i owned it, now it is sleeping in my garage. Beside that, it is a confortable reliable car with fast acceleration when i needed to that was my daily driver for almost 2 years, but, however it is really fun to drive, i need to sell it, in order to help fix my house, and im sharing my girlfriend's car now. Also when i purchased it, it came with a set of 17" chrome rims and an mp3 cd player, still have the original parts, and i drive it with the original alloy rims, but the buyer can take all of that. (that ll make room in my basement) I ll put pictures in 2 days, good luck, Clement kbb value : http://www.kbb.com/used-cars/volkswagen/passat/1997/private-party-value/pricing-report?condition=good&id=8518&equipment=315695%7ctrue%7c553889%7ctrue%7c315827%7ctrue%7c315785%7ctrue&mileage=87000 It hold its value really well since it has lowered by less than 500$ within 2 years and 15 000 milesOn May-10-11 at 17:31:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I just checked the car today to take some picture ( it has been sleeping in my garage for about 1month and a half), and in fact it has 88 691 miles on it. might have some more (maybe 50) since i use it occasionaly and i will get an oil change. I uplaod some pictures, but if you want a picture of a specific area, feel free to email me.
