Vehicle Detail
1980 Triumph TR7 convertible. I purchased this car recently. and now have clear VA title for it. The car was stored in a dry building for 20+ years. The owner had a number of vehilces in this building. Since I purchased the vehicle I have had the antifreeze changed, the oil changed, the transmission fluid changed, the brake and clutch systems fluids changed and bled. New Air filter, new front rotors and pads, and rebuilt the rear calipers. The speedometer has been fixed. There are areas that need attention such as the electrical system (lights worked up until yesterday when I saw the tell tale sign of wispy smoke come from the switch which is about 30 dollars.) but the more I started this car the more things started to work. The convertible top needs replacement, and the paint is fair. There is very little rust since this car was stored for so long. Parts are relatively easy to find for this British classic through either Moss Motors or British Victoria. This is the second to last year of production and soon to be sought after classic. There was a limited number of the Convertible made. This is a 5 speed manual transmission. Bidders with less than 5 purchases will need to e-mail me for bid approval. Winner of the auction will be requried to send deposit of 500.00 dollars through Paypal and balance upon pick up. On May-12-11 at 18:05:09 PDT, seller added the following information: Car had a "tick" when trying to start it. I had a mechanic come by today and check it. He said it was the starter and now it isn't making the "tick" sound. Starter works fine and we just started the car. Remember this car has sat for 20 plus years and has some gas issues. I have replaced the fuel filter, emptied the gas tank and put new gas in it. After that it drove fairly well. The engine appears to be strong as well as the transmission. It may need the carburetors rebuilt or cleaned at minimum. The brakes are perfect. This car has VERY minimal rust and looks exceptionally good. Paypal is not required, balance is payable upon pickup of car.
