Up for auction is the used 1996 Passat TDI 1.9 Liter. This car has never been wrecked and the body is solid. The clutch has no play and it shifts smoothly through all five gears. After a cold engine start, it needs to idle a minute or so for the engine to settle in. The AC blows cold, however, the heater coil has a slight leak and the water hose by-passes it. A new heater core is supplied. A remanufactured Garrat turbo was installed last month - along with a new 85 Interstate battery. New rear breaks have been recently installed. An Owner's Manual is provided. All the windows are in great shape and the sunroof works. The timing belt has approximately 21,000 miles on it. All the power windows work except for the left rear and a used unit will be provided. I notice that sometimes the right rear door handle does not work from the outside but the inside handle always works. The check engine light comes on at times and I am told that it is because of the catalyic converter. There is a slight bow in the right rear side bumper trim. The car is sold As Is so please ask any questions before bidding. Contact me to arrange for an inspection. All shipping and/or repair costs are to be covered by the successful buyer. The mileage shown may change slighly. Successful bidder is to pay a $300.00 deposit within two days of auction close and the balance in full within seven days of auction close.
