1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am Turbo This beautiful Turbo Trans Am has been very very well cared for. Inside and out it is in great condition. The car was sold to me as actual miles, but when the title came in, it said "exempt" because in SC any car over a certain age is exempt miles. I believe the car is an actual 57k mile car, which has been garage kept. This car has T-tops and Turbo style wheels. A great collectors item which is sure to go up in value. Great paint and body, some of which has been repainted, like the bumpers. The pictures will do the talking, the car is in oustanding condition. (The car was rinsed off for the pictures, and there are a few drop of water still on it in the pictures, those are NOT bubbles in the paint, just water drops) The engine runs great and the transmission shifts great. It does have a high idle and spark knocks under heavy acceleration which tells me it needs the timing set. Plus, when the engine is at operating temperature it has a slow start, which is another symptom of timing being off. But the engine is in great shape and runs quiet, and the turbo works! According the previous owner, he had the turbo replaced or had it rebuilt, can't remember which. This car has a lot of get-up-and-go. and drives really well. The A/C works, and much of it looks like new parts, such as the compressor, etc. but it feels like it could use some freon to be colder. The seats, headliner, carpet, door panels, and everything else in the interior is in VERY good condition. It has an aftermarket 80's era stereo in it. Tires have good tread. The engine is very clean and the engine compartment is in amazing condition. All the pictures will prove this. This is a no-reserve auction, meaning the high bidder takes it.
