this is a 1938 ford open cab fire truck. runs and drives. not ready to fight fires. truck has a 327 chevrolet v-8 engine. 3 speed trans on floor. truck runs ok. ( needs carb rebuilt) truck has alternator. but is not wired to charge. truck will need wired to drive it alot on streets. truck body and frame are in good condition. someone sand blasted it sometime ago. has some paint loss. tires are old .but hold air fine. this truck has 4 wheel mechanical brakes. they work!! truck does not have all the fire crap. but does have a siren. and a radio. and other gauges and brass coupling things. has hard hoses and other hoses in back. not sure how to use. truck has a good quality gas tank mounted in back with electric fuel pump . has an electric fan mounted on radiator. that goes on with switch to fuel pump. this is cool truck!! missing ford emblems on hood. and the part that holds hood down. this truck needs some one to go over the little things. but could be a great advertising truck. it is fun to drive and double clutching fun!! truck has clear title. please ask questions before bidding. On Apr-01-11 at 18:22:38 PDT, seller added the following information: just wanted to say that this fire truck fits in normal sized garage. mine is only 9 foot wide by 7 foot tall. my garage is deeper than some. its 28 feet deep. but there is alot of room left. i think a 24 foot garage would due. may a wee bit less? this truck is being relisted because winning bidder is not responding to e-mails or phone calls. thats why it is back on e- bay.
