1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS427 Convertible. 427 big block from a 1968 Impala, S&S Racing Transmission pro built Turbo 400 with a nice loose Hughes 3200 stall, 12 bolt rearend Posi with 3.73 gears. The usual add ons, Mallory ,Holley, Edelbrock etc etc. Car does not leak anything at all and does not burn anything, very clean and dry underneath. Car sounds nice and runs very strong but also just loafs along if that is what you want, runs at 180 degrees all day long and holds 45lb psi even when hot. Car drives down the road very nicely, very tight, no slop in the suspension or steering, brakes pull you up straight and true, no rattles or bangs, just a real nice ride. If you could afford the gas she could be your daily driver! Interior is very nice in white, all lights and gauges work. Decent Pioneer stereo cassette and Pioneer door speakers. Top is power and works perfectly and has glass back window in great shape. Floors, trunk and frame are all excellent. Bodywork and paint are very good, couple of rust bubbles popping out bottom corners of both doors and thats about it. Power brakes, front discs/ rear drums but manual steering. The only things I would possibly do to this car are to replace the painted bumpers with some nice chrome items and maybe the air cleaner and rocker covers...about $500 max...and that is all just for aesthetic appeal. Actual amount you need to spend on this car to have fun right away....$14995! Drive this car anywhere and have a blast, she will lay rubber at will anytime!
